What is the bamboo bow in the Spring and Autumn Period?
197 1 February, 2008, bamboo bows in the spring and autumn period were unearthed from Tomb No.1 of Liuchengqiao in Changsha. This is one of the earliest bows in China. The bow is dark brown, with complete shaft and fine workmanship. Bow length 1 120mm, bow width (middle of the bow handle) 27mm and thickness 20mm. The constrictor gradually tapers to both ends, and then gradually tapers until the distal part is 20 mm long. The vertical distance from the connecting line at both ends to the arch is 190 mm, and the arch is made of three layers of bamboo, wrapped with silk thread and painted with color. The patent leather cracked and fell off. After dehydration, the bow is still not deformed, which proves that it is made of excellent materials. After special processing, it is now in China People's Revolutionary Military Museum.
