The basic content of broken rice suona

The music repertoire of Suimi Suona in northern Shaanxi is rich, varied and different in style. The origin of Qupai mainly includes:

First of all, with the introduction of suona, some special qupai were also introduced.

2. New Qupai produced by grafting with Han music and folk songs. Suona played some local folk songs at that time, which won the love of the broad masses of the lower classes. Folk songs have become an inexhaustible source of suona music, and they are also fertile soil to maintain the longevity of suona art, such as "Down the South of the Yangtze River", "Crying for the Great Wall", "Pumpkin Bristle", "The Wind Blows the Land" and "Lion Order", which are all recreations of Han folk songs and folk minor suona music. In the long-term playing process, the lyrics disappeared and only the original folk songs and names were retained. In modern folk songs, many pieces of music have also been adapted into classic suona qupai, such as Embroidered Gold Monument, Five Brothers Pasturing Sheep, Yongjun Yangko and so on.

The third is based on drama music. Part of it originated from the drama qupai, and after re-creation, it was also used in the drama stage, such as playing and cutting cards, singing accompaniment and so on. Some traditional China opera tunes, such as the musical tunes of Jin Opera, Shui Long Yin and Niang, come to spring and cry for the emperor, have evolved into suona tunes.

The fourth is to absorb the qupai formed by religious music, such as "I don't know the tune", "Thousand Sound Buddha", "West Wind Praise" and "Four Middle Schools and Four Schools".

5. Qupai created by the composer. After liberation, many musicians who love national music created many northern Shaanxi Sui and Mi Suona qupai. For example, Xu Guangming (Sui Deji), vice president of Shaanxi Opera Research Institute, created the northern Shaanxi suona music brand "Boiling Yellow Land" and "Lantern Festival" for Suide Hansuona Troupe, which injected fresh blood into the northern Shaanxi Suimi suona music and enriched the northern Shaanxi Suimi suona music treasure house.
