How many Tibetan languages are there?
Tibetans have their own spoken and written language, Tibetan, which belongs to the Tibetan branch of the Sino-Tibetan language family and is divided into three main dialects: Wei-Zang dialect, Kang dialect and Amdo dialect. Tibetan was created with reference to some Sanskrit fonts at the beginning of the 7th century and developed after three revisions. It is a kind of pinyin written horizontally from left to right, and it is still in common use today.
