Transmission principle of video signal of webcam

There are three transmission principles of webcam video signal: analog signal transmission principle, digital signal transmission principle and integrated wireless transmission principle.

Analog signal transmission. Belonging to a short-distance transmission mode. Is to transmit the video signal collected by the camera directly through the cable. The analog signal is a positive sine wave signal that changes with time. The transmission process is influenced by the conductor cross section and the capacitance between lines. The longer the transmission distance, the more severe the signal attenuation, and it can only be used within a kilometer.

Digital signal transmission. It belongs to long-distance mode. That is, the video signal (image signal) collected by the camera is quantized, collected and encoded to form video digital coding, which is different from the pulse coding (video digital coding) in which analog signals are digital signals and do not change with time. Its characteristic is strong anti-interference, because digital signals do not change with time (digital coding), transmission and storage become simple and efficient. It can be used for computer network transmission with unlimited distance.

Integrated radio transmission. It means that by using radio waves as carriers, analog signals can be directly transmitted from one space to all spaces or another without wires. The same is true of digital signals, which can be transmitted from one space to all spaces or special spaces by using radio waves as carriers. Their transmission distance depends on the power and frequency of radio waves.
