Batik is a traditional printing and dyeing process that uses beeswax to draw patterns. It is a traditional printing and dyeing process in which patterns are drawn on white cloth with a broom-shaped wax knife dipped in wax, and after dyeing, the patterns appear when the wax is removed by boiling. Once upon a time, there was a family of Wang dyers in the village. His daughter, Dyeing Girl, was a clever and skillful girl. Not only could she do farm work, but she was also excellent at spinning, weaving, picking flowers and embroidery. She was known far and wide for her beauty and intelligence.

On one occasion, Dyeing and her sisters envisioned that it would be nice if the plainly dressed Buyei women could wear clothes as beautiful as brocade chicken feathers. Dyeing Sister very much hopes to realize this dream. Strangely enough, every morning and evening thereafter, a colorful brocade chicken would always fly in and sing to Yiming's window. She was so happy that she quietly burned incense and prayed for the god to come down to earth. With her sincere prayers, the god finally turned into a fairy goddess who descended from the sky and floated down next to her.

Through the guidance of the God of the Cockerel, she soon learned how to use beeswax to make batik cloth. The dresses and skirts sewn from this cloth were as beautiful on her body as the brocade chicken fairy. The fairy was so satisfied that she turned into a brocade chicken and flew into the woods again. After that, Dyeing Sister taught all the crafts taught by the fairy to her Buyi sisters. Everyone called her "Batik Girl".

Today, the traditional batik craft has been further developed and has become a unique craft that sells well at home and abroad.
