What is Korean clothing?
Hanbok has the beauty of lines that combine straight lines and curves, and pays attention to yin and yang and five elements in color matching, which is harmonious between heaven and earth. Generally speaking, the coat is bright and dark. Children's Hanbok generally uses seven colors to make children look forward to a better life, prevent ghosts and gods from approaching, and live a long and disease-free life.
Men's traditional Hanbok consists of a crown hat (black hat), a folding height inside (men's coat), a back (vest worn outside the folding height inside), a jacket (winter clothes worn outside the folding height inside), a bagi (trousers), a Duluji (coat worn outside the jacket and trousers when going out) and a complete set of clothes (socks).
The traditional Hanbok for women consists of a hood (women's coat), a collar (consisting of a movable lapel and a collar edge), a belt (a long belt sewn on the front lapel and hanging in front of a long skirt, which is used as a button for the coat and also has a decorative effect), a chime (skirt), patterns and embroidered shoes.
According to the classification of living customs and uses, Hanbok can be divided into wedding dresses, holiday dresses, floral dresses and one-year-old dresses.
On the morning of the Spring Festival, children should wear holiday clothes to pay New Year greetings to their parents, children should wear seven-color satin coats, and parents should wear ordinary hanbok. At the flower banquet, men wear golden crowns and grass clothes, and women wear small dresses; At the ceremony of children's first birthday, children should wear clothes of one year old; In traditional weddings, the bride and groom should wear gorgeous wedding dresses.
Traditional hanbok is complicated to wear, and it is usually worn on special occasions. Koreans usually wear improved simple life hanbok.
Head ornament
Men and women will wear braids on their heads until they reach adulthood or get married.
Adult or married men will tie their hair in a bun (wearing a black hat or a Taoist concept of Cheng Zi), while Ding Bai can only wear headscarves and straw hats. Adult unmarried women and ordinary maids (wives) and official maids (such as Bazhi and medical women) tie their hair behind their heads and tie it up with a thick belt called Tang Zhi (most Koreans in ancient times married early, and most of them got married before the legal age).
