What kind of paintings are refugees?
The remaining first half of this painting is now in China Art Museum, and the second half has been lost, and now it is in China Art Museum. With a piece of rubble as the background, the whole painting depicts 100-odd images of refugees who suffered from war disasters, and depicts the tragic situation of working people who were displaced during the war.
It recorded the profound disasters brought to the Chinese nation by the Japanese invaders. The creation of "Refugee Map" is based on bone brushwork, and incorporates realistic techniques such as western anatomy, perspective and block, which greatly enriches the expressive force of China's figure painting.
The author not only depicts the external image of the characters, but also pays more attention to the delicate excavation of the characters' hearts, which sets off a sad atmosphere and vents the author's indignation, and has a strong artistic appeal. The author began to conceive the refugee map at 194 1 and finished the painting at 1943. In order to complete this picture, the author went to Shanghai, Nanjing and other places to experience life in the occupied areas.
He saw the life scenes of the people trampled by the Japanese army. In the picture, peasants, workers, intellectuals, old people, women and children who left their homes and struggled to death played a symphony of the fate of the people at the bottom of society in the war years, which was a true portrayal of people's life in that dark period.
In the process of creation, the author also invited many friends and students to be models. The woman in the painting is a model made by the author's students, and the donkey in the painting is also borrowed from the street and painted in the studio to sketch. In addition, in order to prevent the interference of the Japanese army, the author painted a part and hid a part, so it is difficult to get a glimpse.
