When and who founded Wing Chun Boxing? Great gods, help!

Wing Chun Boxing, one of Shaolin Wushu, has several opinions about its origin: (What needs to be added here is that "Wing Chun", "Wing Chun Boxing" and "Wing Chun Boxing" listed in this column are all different names of the same boxing school. In order not to make readers misunderstand, this paper uses "Yong" uniformly. The first statement originated from Yan Yongchun, Fujian, hence the name Wing Chun Quan. Yan Yongchun Boxing was the daughter of Yan Si, a disciple of Shaolin laity in the middle of Qing Dynasty. She happened to see snakes and cranes fighting and was inspired by her original martial arts. The second argument is that Wing Chun Boxing originated from five teachers, not Yan Yongchun, and what he realized when he saw the snake and crane fighting. Teacher Wu Mei is a Shaolin disciple in the early Qing Dynasty and is said to be the master of Shaolin White Crane Boxing. Because South Shaolin in Fujian was burned by the Qing government, she lived in seclusion in Daliangshan, the border of Sichuan and Yunnan, and created Wing Chun Boxing because she saw snakes and cranes fighting, which was later spread in Yan Yongchun. The third argument is that after the five pieces of Wing Chun Boxing were created, they were not directly passed on to Yan Yongchun, but passed on to Miao Shun, a Shaolin disciple, Yan Er, a Shaolin layman, and Yan Er passed on to the female Wing Chun and her husband Fu Liang. This strict second is the strict fourth. The fourth argument is that Wing Chun Boxing has nothing to do with the Five Masters or Yan Yong Boxing, and there is no competition between snakes and cranes. The predecessor of Wing Chun Boxing should be Wing Chun Boxing, which is a martial art in the struggle of the anti-Qing organization "Heaven and Earth" in the early Qing Dynasty, and was created by Chen, a Shaolin disciple in Songshan, Henan Province. He (or "she") first passed it on to Zhang Wu, a martial arts student in the troupe (known as Tan Shouwu, who has the reputation of being a "unique martial artist"). Later, Zhang Wu stayed in Guangdong, settled in Qionghua Hall in Dajiwei, Foshan Town, Nanhai County, and spread Wing Chun Boxing to his disciples in the form of Cantonese opera. After the Li Uprising in Xianfeng period, the disciples changed the word "Yong" to "Yong" and "Yong" to avoid disaster. Huang, Liang Erdi, Dahua Mianjin and others on the red boat learned this fist technique and passed it on to Liang Zan, who is practicing medicine in a Chinese medicine shop on Chopsticks Road in Foshan. Since then, Liang Zan has carried forward Wing Chun Boxing. The fifth statement also says that Wing Chun Boxing should be Yongchun Boxing, named after Yongchun Hall of Shaolin Temple in Quanzhou, Fujian. It is a southern family boxing method that people who entered the temple in those years learned. The full name is Shaolin Yongchun, and the master is Shan Zhi, a disciple of Shaolin. Nan Shaolin was insatiable and fled to Foshan. He once hid in the red boat of Cantonese opera as a cook. Later, people in the troupe worshipped him as a teacher because they came into contact with the loose-packed in Dongguan. Among the apprentices, Su Sanniang, a native of Huizhou, is Hua Dan in the troupe. She is very good at learning, so she is known as "Yongchun Sanniang". The last three mothers passed the martial arts to Huang Huabao and Liang Erdi on the red boat, and Huang and Liang passed the martial arts to Liang Zan in Foshan, which made Yongchun Boxing flourish in Foshan. The most detailed statement collected by this website is: Wing Chun Boxing is one of Shaolin Wushu, and the word Wing Chun is to commemorate Yan Yongchun, the founder of Wing Chun Boxing. The founder Yan Yongchun was born in Fujian, Guangdong, and his father Yan Ergong bought and sold tofu at the foot of Jiulian Mountain. Wing Chun, on the other hand, studied with five masters since childhood. Later, he realized boxing because he saw the snake and crane fighting, and was corrected by his master's five masters, thus achieving great martial arts. Master Wing Chun asked five masters to name the fist. The master replied, Since your name is Wing Chun, you can name this fist Wing Chun. Therefore, the name of Wing Chun Quan was officially born. The founder later married Liang Bo's enemy, and later returned to Guangdong with her husband, and spread her martial arts to Bo Qiu, so her husband got the legend of Wing Chun. This is the second biography of Wing Chun Boxing in the early years of Jiaqing. I am very friendly with the people on the Red Boat, and often talk about drinking with my friends Liang, Huang Huabao and Liang Erdao. Bo Qiu even exchanged the name and skills of the Red Boat at 6: 30 with Huabao and others with Wing Chun. Later, I drifted on the red boat with Huabao and others. During this period, they studied and practiced hard day and night, and in two years, they got their secret. Liang, Huang Huabao and Liang Erdao are the third biographies of Wing Chun Boxing School. At 6: 30, the Shaolin stick is a compulsory weapon for those who practice Wing Chun. Huabao retired after the age of 60 and lived in Qingyun Street, Huiji City, Foshan. Liang Zan, a famous doctor in Huijicheng, is famous for practicing medicine in Xingjitang. People in Foshan call him Mr. Zan. Warburg befriended Mr Zan and got along very well after retirement. He went to Xingjitang to drink with Mr. Zan and spread the art of wing chun boxing to Mr. Zan. It was a light-year period. Liang Zan, originally from Gulao, Shan County, just lived in Foshan. Mr Zan has excellent medical skills and runs a herbal shop named Xingjitang in Qingyun Street, Huiji City. He has a wide range of friends, so he is very popular. Mr. Zan is skilled in martial arts and has a wide range of knowledge, but he is not satisfied with this. Ever since learning Wing Chun from Hua Baoxi, he has felt that Wing Chun is a superior method in terms of strength, figure and technique. With his intelligence and hard study, Wing Chun Quan became famous in Lingnan area in the late Qing Dynasty. However, Mr. Zan failed to teach his disciples widely because of his shop business, so Wing Chun Quan failed to become an instant hit. But the only ones who can get the true biography are Liang Chun and Liang Bi, his second sons. South China University of Technology was originally from Chencun, Shunde, and also lived in Foshan. He made a living by looking for money, and went to look for Hua Qian under different names. Because of the profit-seeking career of South China University of Technology, he often passes by the hall, so he is destined to teach Mr. Zan. After the technology was completed, Mr Zan became famous for his expensive pork. Later, Mr Zan passed away, and South China University of Technology set up a museum in Lianhuadi Street to formally teach Wing Chun. However, Wing Chun Boxing is different from Shaolin Boxing, because it takes a long time to practice □ hand, and the best practice of □ hand needs personal teaching, so it is not allowed to teach more. Therefore, the charges of Chinese workers are quite high, which is not affordable for ordinary people, but most of the scholars are your sons. At that time, it was called "Young Master Boxing". Therefore, it was not widely circulated during the period of South China University of Technology. Wu, He Hanlv, Lei Ruji, father and son can get the skills of Chinese workers. But it can promote Wing Chun Boxing, and the first one is Ip Man. Ye Wen, the son of a famous family in Foshan, is young and weak. At the age of seven, he went to Chen Huashun to learn Wing Chun. Because South China University of Technology is smart and eager to learn, he often teaches in person, while Wu assists him and often holds hands with IP Man to point out the secrets of Wing Chun. IP Man has made great progress in martial arts. Unfortunately, Chinese workers can't afford to get sick. On his deathbed, he told Wu to continue teaching and his son Rujin. Ip Man and Wu worked together for three years and made greater progress than before, when he was only 15 years old. The following year, IP Man came to Hong Kong to attend St. Stephen's School on the orders of his father. During this period, I got to know Liang Bi, the son of Mr. Liang Zan, through the introduction of my classmates, and practiced Wing Chun with Liang Bi, which made him learn everything, improve his skills and be modest and elegant. Three years later, Yip Man returned to Foshan, where he became familiar with the boxing heroes in Foshan, and even helped him in the cultural contest, causing a sensation in Foshan. After recovering from illness, he joined the military and political affairs, such as breaking sand sugar, and made great achievements. He took pleasure in winning the drama and stealing Luo Zao from the third floor of Zhengyi Road. It was not until Foshan changed color that Ip Man left Foshan and took refuge in Xiangjiang for about 1949. At this time, IP Man has just arrived in Hong Kong, and his life is still not stable. Fortunately, Li Minxing, a friend, introduced him to the Hong Kong and Kowloon Hotel Staff Union in Da 'nan Street, Sham Shui Po, Kowloon to teach Wing Chun Boxing, and he also started his boxing career. At that time, his disciples were Liang Xiang, Xu Shangtian, Zhao Yun, Lu and others. Later, he taught in Haitan Street, Lida Street, Li Zhengwu, Dawangmiao on Avenue East and Xingye Building on Qingshan Road. In the past 20 years, IP Man has improved and popularized Wing Chun Boxing, which has made Wing Chun Boxing flourish in Hongkong, Taiwan Province Province and even the whole world. Although the above statements have their own origins, they are all convincing. Everyone thinks it is authentic, but it can't be perfect, impeccable and authoritative. If you carefully scrutinize the time, place, people, historical background and other aspects, the above statements are confusing. Some words are too simple to tell true from false. For example, the speaker has only one sentence, "Yongchun Boxing was handed down by Master Chen Yi, a disciple of Songshan Shaolin Temple", and even the gender is not clear. The Shaolin Disciple of Songshan seems to be from Shaolin Temple in Songshan, and should be a female nun. Furthermore, if the master of a dust nunnery is really a nun and the five teachers are also nuns, it is worth considering whether they are the same person. Unfortunately, there is a lack of materials to verify. Others are inconsistent with the historical background and lose the foundation of existence. For example, the Five Masters and the Supreme Good Zen Master are said to have been exiled because South Shaolin was burned. However, according to contemporary historians and people in the martial arts field, according to the research of official archives, in the Qing Dynasty, both Shaolin in North and South were favored by the imperial court. No matter Shunzhi, Kangxi, Yongzheng, Qianlong, Jiaqing, Daoguang, Xianfeng, Tongzhi, until Guangxu and Xuan Tong, there has never been anything that the imperial court set Shaolin on fire. The theory of burning Shaolin was invented by the anti-Qing organization "Heaven and Earth Society" at that time to incite the anti-Qing sentiment of Wulin people. Since the historical truth is not the case, the theory of "five things" and "perfect escape" is difficult to establish. Therefore, they created Wing Chun Boxing and spread it in Shaolin Yongchun Temple, and its credibility is naturally questionable. Some of them are different from reality, so it is difficult to justify them. For example, Tan Shouwu or Zen Master Shan Zhi was originally called Yongchun Boxing on the Red Boat. Later, due to the uprising of Cantonese opera artist Li in Xianfeng period, he was suppressed by the Qing government and even Qionghuaguan disciples. In order to hide people's eyes and ears, the master renamed Xi's Wing Chun Boxing as Wing Chun Boxing or Wing Chun Boxing. In other words, Yongchun Boxing, Wing Chun Boxing and Yongchun Boxing should be different names of the same boxing school. However, according to textual research, the fact at that time was that while Wing Chun Boxing and Wing Chun Boxing were being circulated, Wing Chun Boxing was still being circulated publicly in the world, and they went hand in hand. Do some people change their names because of avoiding disasters, and some people don't need to avoid disasters? This seems unreasonable. Today's Yongchun Boxing, Swimming Boxing and Wing Chun Boxing have similar sounds, but the content and training system of Wushu are different. In fact, they are two different schools of boxing and cannot be confused. Therefore, the above statement seems to be inconsistent with the facts and difficult to explain. Others, such as Yan Yongchun, have a lot of room for consideration in all kinds of rumors about her. If it really exists, its life span is very elegant. If she is a descendant of five teachers, at least during the Yongzheng and Qianlong periods. It is said that Liang Zan once went to Fujian to find Yan Yongchun for further study, according to his instructions from Huang Huabao. If Yan Yongchun not only learned five arts, but also taught Liang Zan, she would have crossed the six dynasties of Yongzheng, Qianlong, Jiaqing, Daoguang, Xianfeng and Tongzhi, and lived at least 150 to 200 years old, which is of course impossible. So it is necessary to find out whether Yan Yongchun really existed and which dynasty she lived in. In a word, all the above statements can only leave a mystery to be solved. There are different opinions about the origin of wing chun quan, and the reasons are of course various. But people's worship and admiration for Wing Chun Boxing is one of the important reasons. Out of worship psychology, people are often not satisfied with ordinary statements, and always like to find an extraordinary source for what they worship, and make it legendary and mythical. Coupled with the continuous processing and creation of oral legends, the more they are said, the more mysterious they are, and the farther they are from the historical truth until they are unrecognizable. People are like this, things are like this, and ancient and modern sages and emperors always have extraordinary sources. The so-called "extraordinary son, when different life", this is a very interesting historical phenomenon in China. There are different opinions about the origin of Wing Chun Boxing, which probably belongs to this phenomenon. This is how history lives in people's mouths. I am afraid that the mystery of the origin of Wing Chun Boxing will always be an unsolved historical knot. It is not without positive significance to let all kinds of statements coexist and pass on from generation to generation, leaving people with a certain sense of mystery and letting people think and imagine.
