Mazu's former residence is located at the back of Li Gang Village, which is the civil structure of Putian traditional mansion compound. Sitting facing south, surrounded by mountains on three sides, from east to west, it is surrounded by peaks such as Luoshan, Xiangshan and Niutou Mountain. Outside the door is the spectacle of the integration of blue sea and mountains and seas. Mazu lived here with his parents, brothers and sisters before his death. During the Song, Yuan and Ming Dynasties, the former residence was repaired many times. In the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, there were still sites such as "book pavilion", "dressing building" and "back garden". Because the "boundary" was destroyed, only part of the living room was left. There has been no reconstruction since "redrawing the boundary". There are a pair of rectangular stones at the gate of the fence, with a height of 1 m and a width of 1 ft, which were made in the Song Dynasty. It is said that it was specially shipped from Zhejiang. The stone embankment built by the stone in front of the door has a smooth surface and fine grinding. Due to the expanding influence of Mazu belief at home and abroad, some enthusiastic people put forward suggestions to repair Mazu's former residence, which were approved by many believers. With the full support of Mazu Friendship Association of Taiwan Province Province, the 18 Tianhou Temple was established in Taiwan Province, equivalent to RMB 6,543.8+0.6 million. The restoration project officially started on April 25th, 200 1 Lunar New Year. Zheng Mingkun, the first president of Taiwan Province Mazu Friendship Association and vice chairman of Lan Palace in Dajia Town, personally led the 145 representatives of 17 Mazu Temple in Taichung. The project was completed on September 15 of the lunar calendar in 2002. The total investment of the former residence restoration project is more than 2.5 million yuan. After reconstruction, Mazu's former residence is in imitation of Song Dynasty style, covering an area of 2,500 square meters and a building area of 850 square meters. It is divided into one entrance (three carriages) and two entrances (five carriages). There is a big yard (flat ridge) between the front and rear seats, and there are cloisters on the left and right sides, separated from the wing by green space in the middle. The whole former residence is like a big palace, elegant and magnificent. In front of the gate is a flat brick embankment, and a big banyan tree snuggles against the wall, as if telling the ancient history. Above the main entrance hangs a large plaque inscribed by Mr. Zhao Yulin, a famous calligrapher in Fujian, entitled "Former Residence of Mazu". A couplet is embedded in the lintel of Shimen: "The former residence of Shengde's towering hometown is bright and clean, and the ancestral temple of the loving mother is solemn." The plaque on the back is "Glory of Rejuvenation", which was presented by the unified Jiayin Tianhou Palace in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. Stepping into the stone ridge and entering the front seat is a three-compartment structure. A large horizontal plaque "Multicolored lintel" donated by Mazu Friendship Association of Taiwan Province Province hangs in the hall. On the back, the Macao Mazu Foundation presented the "Guangbeihai Si" mahogany gold-plated horizontal plaque. In the hall stands a 3.23-meter-high imitation bronze statue of Mazu donated by local businessman Lin Guoqiang. Mazu holds the pearl of the night and looks at the front, with a kind and amiable look. The horizontal plaque of "North of Cihui Courtyard" at the top of the bronze statue was donated by the 10th Board of Directors of Ciyou Palace in Songshan, Taipei, and the horizontal plaque of "Yi Yan" on the back was donated by the Board of Directors of Lan Palace in Dajia Town, Taiwan Province.
