The Origin of Traditional Architecture in China

According to the records of ancient documents in China, there are two main ways to build ancient buildings in China, one is a wooden nest, and the other is a cave in a cave.

These two architectural styles, whether under the nest or on the cave, reflect the constraints of the height of different lots, humidity and temperature in different seasons and climate on the original architectural style.

The remains of primitive buildings show that the development sequence of nests and caves pointed out by Yang Hongxun, an architectural archaeologist, did exist in early buildings in China.
