1, Zhaozhou Bridge
Zhaozhou Bridge, also known as Anji Bridge, is located in Zhao County, Hebei Province, Hebei River, across the 37-meter-wide river, because the bridge is built entirely of stone, locally known as the "big stone bridge". It was built between the 11th and 19th year of the Kaihuang reign of the Sui Dynasty, designed and constructed by the famous craftsman Li Chun, with a history of more than 1,400 years, and is the earliest and best-preserved ancient single-hole, open-shoulder stone arch bridge in the world today.
Zhaozhou Bridge is the crystallization of the wisdom of the ancient working people, creating a brand new situation in the construction of bridges in China.In 2015, it was honored as one of the top ten city business cards of Shijiazhuang. It is China's first stone arch bridge, which has survived countless floods, winds and rains, ice, snow and frost, and eight earthquakes over the long years, but it is unharmed and stands majestically over the Xiao River.
2, Hangzhou Bay Bridge
Hangzhou Bay Bridge is a longitudinal cross-sea bridge across China's Hangzhou Bay. The bridge starts from Zhengjiadai, Haiyan, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province in the north and ends at Cixi Shuiluwan, Ningbo City in the south, with a total length of ****36 kilometers. The foundation stone of Hangzhou Bay Cross-sea Bridge was laid on June 8, 2003 to start the construction, and on June 26, 2007, the whole Hangzhou Bay Cross-sea Bridge was opened. Hangzhou Bay Cross-Sea Bridge was opened to traffic on May 1, 2008 for operation.
Hangzhou Bay Bridge is designed as a two-way six-lane highway standard, and is an important part of the G15 Shenhai Expressway. Hangzhou Bay Bridge has held the world record of the longest cross-sea bridge in the world by the China World Records Association. Hangzhou Bay Bridge is the world's fourth longest sea-crossing bridge after the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the Lake Pontchartrain Bridge in the United States and the Jiaozhou Bay Bridge in Qingdao, China.
3, Anping Bridge
Anping Bridge is the longest surviving ancient stone bridge in China, a masterpiece of ancient bridge architecture. It is located on the bay between Anhai Town, Jinjiang City, Fujian Province, China and Shuitou Town, Nan'an City. It enjoys the reputation of "no bridge in the world is as long as this bridge". It is a national key cultural relics protection unit. Because of the Anhai town ancient called Anping Road, thus named; and because the bridge is about 5 miles long, commonly known as the five-mile bridge.
Anping Bridge belongs to China's ancient beam-type stone flat bridge, was built in the Southern Song Dynasty Shaoxing eight years (1138), lasted fourteen years completed. The bridge was rebuilt several times in the Ming and Qing dynasties. The bridge is the world's longest beam-type stone bridge in the Middle Ages and the longest surviving harbor bridge in China, showing the ingenuity of the ancient working people and the brilliant achievements of bridge construction.
4, Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge
Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge is located in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, Wuchang District, between Snake Hill and Hanyang Turtle Hill, is the first bridge on the Yangtze River, but also after the founding of New China built in the Yangtze River, the first dual-use bridge, known as "the first bridge on the Yangtze River". Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge has become a landmark of Wuhan since its completion.
Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge is one of the 156 projects supported by the Soviet Union, started in September 1955, October 15, 1957 officially opened to traffic. The total length is about 1670 meters, the upper deck is a highway bridge (National Highway 107), 8 piers, except pier 7, the other piers are "large pipe column drilling method", which is a new construction method pioneered by China.
