What grotto influences are reflected in the design of China Art Museum?

The connotation of "art treasure house" is architecture, which Dai Nianci learned from China ancient art.

China Art Museum was designed by architect Dai Nianci. He pays great attention to excavating the essence of China traditional architectural culture, and his works are exquisite and elegant, full of classical charm.

In order to design a building that conforms to the connotation of the "art treasure house" of China Art Museum, Dai Nianci learned the traditional modeling language from the nine-story cornices of the Mogao Grottoes, an ancient art treasure house in China, and adopted a classical three-stage composition on the main body of the building appearance, showing an obvious national style.

Standing in front of the art museum, the spire of this classical building is towering, the glazed roof is glittering, and the cornices fall layer by layer on the almost vertical facade, just like a string of notes playing gradually, bringing a strong sense of rhythm. Viewed from the air, the art museum blends with Beijing's Forbidden City, Jingshan Mountain, Tiananmen Square, Beihai Park and other urban attractions, setting off the historical atmosphere of Beijing.
