Where is the Hainan Provincial Museum?

The museum covers a total area of more than 60 mu, and the first phase of the project covers an area of about 1.8 million square meters, mainly including exhibition halls, cultural relics warehouses, technical rooms, service facilities, office buildings and so on. The construction area of the second phase project is about 7000 square meters. Relying on the protection and restoration of the "Huaguang Reef 1" shipwreck and nearly 10,000 pieces of porcelain on the shipwreck, the relevant cultural relics and specimens such as the history of the South China Sea, the Maritime Silk Road, and marine biological mineral resources are mainly displayed.

There are four permanent basic exhibitions in the museum, namely, the exhibition of cultural relics in Hainan collection, the exhibition of Hainan history, the exhibition of Hainan ethnic minorities and the exhibition of Hainan intangible cultural heritage. This paper expounds the immigration history of Hainan. Li, Miao, Hui and other ethnic minorities in Hainan have jointly created Hainan's unique cultural, intangible cultural heritage and comprehensive cultural relics and historic sites.

The original temporary exhibitions in the museum include "Heavy Weapons and Brilliance —— Special Exhibition of National Cultural Heritage Administration Precious Cultural Relics Hainan Provincial Museum", "Ancient Charm and Fragrance —— Special Exhibition of Hainan Huang Huali Culture", "The Direction of the Sea —— Special Exhibition of Huaguang Reef No.1 Shipwreck", "The Trace of Qiongdao —— The Adventure Journey of Two American Youth 75 Years ago" and "Special Exhibition of Ceramics Picking Britain ——— Cultural Relics handed over by National Cultural Heritage Administration to Hainan Provincial Museum". It has made a unique contribution to the construction of Hainan tourist island.
