Playing Lianchi, also known as "Lianchi Dance", is a temple fair dance that spreads in Hakka areas and is usually performed in mourning halls. Dancers can be more or less, two in a single lotus pond, four in a double lotus pond and six in a triangular lotus pond, with a maximum of 24 people.

The dancers are all monks and nuns, quite professional. Dancers use lotus pond sticks and lotus cups.
