What is the difference between USB HDD and EFI USB device?
EFI USB device is UEFI startup mode, which is used to install operating system in UEFI mode. UEFI is a new boot mode, and the performance can be improved to some extent by using GPT format hard disk. However, to install the operating system in UEFI mode, the following conditions need to be met:
The hard disk partition table format is GPT (traditionally, the hard disk partition table format is MBR, which can be converted, but the conversion may lose all files on the hard disk).
Must be a 64-bit operating system
The motherboard must support UEFI.
The operating system itself must support UEFI(Windows 7, Windows 8 support, I haven't tested other operating systems, so I don't know. In theory, Windows 10 will also support it)
