Brief introduction and classic couplets of "the first temple of wealth in the world"
Lingshun Temple is located at the top of Beifeng Mountain. The temple was built in the Xianhe period of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. It is one of the "Five Spirits" (Lingjiu, Lingyin, Lingfeng, Lingshun and Lingshan) built by Indian monk Huili in Hangzhou, with a history of 1600 years. In the middle of Tianbao in the Tang Dynasty, monk Zijie built the Beifeng Pagoda beside the temple. In the early years of the Northern Song Dynasty, the temple was called the "God of Wealth Temple" because it dedicated five gods of wealth.
Lingshun Temple is located at the highest peak in Hangzhou, and emperors and literati have been there. During the Daguan period in Song Huizong, the amount was "Lingshun". Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty left the Huaguang Temple to Mo Bao, and Emperor Qianlong gave him the "God of Wealth" and wrote a poem. Fang Gan, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, Su Dongpo, a writer in the Northern Song Dynasty, Deng Lin, a gifted scholar in the Ming Dynasty and Zhao Yao all wrote poems here. Xu Wenchang, a painter and calligrapher in the Ming Dynasty, left a plaque of "The First Temple of Wealth in the World".
When the weather is clear, the geographical situation of West Lake, Hangzhou, Qiantang River and Xiaoshan District in Jiangdong can be seen from the platform of Beifeng in the east of Lingshun Temple. Looking south, Lingyin Temple and yongfu temple are at the foot of the mountain, Daoguang Temple is halfway up the mountain, Tianzhu Mountain is around the mountain, and Feilai Peak is located between Beifeng and Tianzhu Mountain. Lingshun Temple is indeed the highest temple in Hang Cheng.
