Listen to "True and False Monkey King" and "Two Hearts in One" in Uncle Kai The Journey to the West.
I remember that in the TV series The Journey to the West I once watched, at the end of True and False Monkey King, Monkey King killed Liu Er's macaque with a stick, so he said the same thing to the children. But when I heard Uncle Kai's words, I realized that the Monkey King and Liu Er were "double-minded". This ending surprised me and made people feel that it was a reasonable ending.
Think of the simple ending of Journey to the West TV series, probably because the original story is more philosophical and difficult to interpret? Or is there something wrong with my memory?
Including the Monkey King borrowing a banana fan, and Uncle Kai's narration is richer and more reasonable than that in the TV series.
So, if you can't believe it, it's better to read the original.
The interpretation of the TV series is very good. Uncle Kay tells stories better.
