2. The Great Pot Festival, also known as the Holy Water Bath Festival, is the largest Hindu religious gathering in the world and one of the festivals with the largest number of participants in the world.
The Great Pot Festival originated from ancient myths and legends in India. It is said that Hindu gods and demons compete for a jar because it contains elixir of life. As a result, the pot was accidentally knocked over, and four drops of elixir fell into Allahabad, Hariwa, Wujiang and Naxi in India.
The Big Pot Festival in these four cities is held every twelve years, while Allahabad and Heldua hold a ceremony once and a half every six years and a small ceremony once every three years.
