Plastic product processing

Plastic processing, also known as plastic molding, is the process of processing plastic or synthetic resin into plastic products, which can be said to be one of the largest production departments in the plastic production industry.

There are many plastic products, and the plastic processing technology is also complicated. At present, it mainly consists of batching, molding, processing, connection, decoration and assembly.

First of all, ingredients

In addition to polymers, some plastic additives such as stabilizers, plasticizers, colorants, etc. are needed as raw materials, so that the service performance of the processed plastic products will be greatly improved and the production cost will be reduced. The polymer and the auxiliary agent are mixed together and dispersed into a dry mixture. It can also be processed into granules.

Second, molding.

It is necessary to make plastics of various shapes into blanks of required shapes. There are many kinds of molding methods, and the choice is mainly based on the type of plastic, the initial shape and the size and shape of the product.

Third, machining.

This step can be regarded as an auxiliary process of molding. We can borrow the processing method of metal or wood to make some plastic products with accurate size or small quantity. However, the performance of plastic is completely different from that of metal and wood, and the tools and cutting speed used in machining should conform to the characteristics of plastic.

Fourth, unite.

It connects plastic parts together. There are two main methods: welding and bonding. Welding methods mainly include hot air welding, hot melt welding, high frequency welding, friction welding and ultrasonic welding. Bonding is accomplished by using adhesives such as flux, resin solution and hot melt adhesive.

Verb (abbreviation of verb) correction

The purpose is to beautify the surface of plastic products, generally through mechanical modification, that is, grinding, flattening, polishing, etc. Then finishing, such as painting the product surface, covering the product surface with a patterned film, etc. There are also colored paintings, such as painting and printing; In addition, there are metal electroplating, including vacuum coating, electroplating and electroless silver plating.

Assembly of intransitive verbs

This is the last step of plastic processing, that is, combining the processed individual plastic parts into a complete plastic product.
