When will the U.S. presidential election be finalized?

The first televised debate of the 2016 presidential candidates has officially begun, with Democratic presidential nominee Hillary going "head-to-head" with *** and party presidential nominee Donald Trump.

The televised debate, which will be held in New York State, will last an hour and a half and is divided into three topics, namely, "The direction of the United States," "Achieving prosperity" and "Keeping America safe ". Each topic is divided into two subsections of 15 minutes each.

The 90-minute debate will begin at 9 p.m. local time at Hofstra University in New York and will be watched by an estimated 90 million people. Rules for the debate include no clapping and no uproar.

In addition, Trump and Hillary each tweeted on the social networking site minutes before the debate began, teasing the upcoming debate. Trump wore a blue tie today and Hillary wore a red suit.

Multiple pre-debate polls have shown Hillary and Trump close to a tie, making the debate winners and losers all the more important. Reuters and Ipsos joint poll showed that about 50 percent of likely voters believe that the candidates' debate performance will be a factor in their decision on which side to vote for, and that 1/5 of these "debate voters" are stray voters who have not yet voted, which is enough to sway the race.
