Introduction of Russian Jade

Russian Jade is produced in the Baikal Lake area, which is farther away from the Kunlun Mountains, but still belongs to the typical nephrite system with Hetian Jade, and Russian Jade is predominantly white and yellow jade. Among them, white jade is of better quality, with whiteness far exceeding that of Hetian jade, but it is slightly dry, and its color is more uniform, which makes it a favorite, and the best alternative to Hetian jade. Moreover, there are seeds, but the white oxidized skin is thicker, and the sugar color under the skin is mostly dark brown, with a deeper color, and the boundaries between it and the white color are more clearly defined, which makes it the best jade for imitating antique jade, and imitating Hetian jade. It was mined around the early 1990s, with an annual production of about 500 tons, second only to Qinghai Jade. However, due to its own merits, it was mostly imitated into the jade used in the Qing court and the fine white jade accessories of the folk, so it has become the main raw material of the court jade artifacts auctioned every year in recent years.
