What does science and technology mean

The meaning of science and technology:

1. Traditionally, science is considered to be the body of knowledge accumulated by human beings about nature, society and thinking.

2. What we call "science" refers to the study of natural phenomena and their laws of natural science; technology refers to the production of practical experience based on the principles of natural science, for a practical purpose and the concerted composition of a variety of tools, equipment, technology and process system, but does not include the corresponding social sciences, technology content.

3. Science and technology are dialectical unity, technology puts forward the subject, science to complete the subject, science is the discovery, is the theoretical guidance of technology; technology is the invention, is the practical application of science.

Society is accustomed to science and technology together, collectively referred to as "science and technology". In reality, the two are closely related and have important differences. Science solves theoretical problems, technology solves practical problems. The problem to be solved by science is to discover the relationship between the conclusive facts and phenomena in the natural world, and to establish theories to link the facts and phenomena; the task of technology is to apply the results of science to practical problems. Science deals mainly with unknown areas, and its progress, especially major breakthroughs, is unpredictable; technology works in relatively mature areas and allows for more accurate planning.
