What is the national style of Laos?
Some ethnic groups are actually several branches of a nation, such as Tylenol, Dan Tai, Taideng, Taikao, Taidai, Taipan and Taiyong, which are actually 13 branches of the Thai nation. There are only tribes or tribes, such as Laowa, Laonu, Laogeng, Bala, Xida, Laobi and Laosantan. Most of these tribes or tribes make a living by farming or nomadism. In the long-term migration and evolution, some have been merged or assimilated by other ethnic groups, and some have disintegrated or disappeared. Many ethnic dances in Laos are similar, which is closely related to ethnic integration and assimilation. Except for a few major ethnic groups, the dances of other ethnic groups also have their own characteristics.
Lao nationality is the main nationality in Laos, and the language used by Lao nationality is Lao, the official language of Laos, belonging to Zhuang-Thai branch of Zhuang-Dong language family of Sino-Tibetan language family. The Lao people mainly live in Pingba, along the Yangtze River and in urban areas where Laos' social economy is relatively developed, mainly in Vientiane Plain, Shawan Naji Plain, Pakse Plain and Mekong River.
The Lao people mainly believe in Hinayana Buddhism, primitive fetishism, Catholicism and Protestantism. There are more than 2,000 temples in China. In the past, Buddhist temples were not only the center of religious activities, but also the main place to spread culture and education, especially in rural and remote areas, where farmers mainly received knowledge through temples. Most temples in Laos are concentrated in Vientiane and Luang Prabang. Luang Prabang was once the seat of the king and monk king of Laos, namely the capital of Laos and the center of Buddhism. The temples there are ancient and exquisite, and the most famous one is Huatong Temple, which has a history of 500 years.
Since Buddhism was introduced to Laos in the14th century, it has developed rapidly and maintained a prosperous momentum, which has a great influence on the social life of the Lao people. During the period of the Kingdom of Laos, Buddhism was defined as the state religion by the Constitution, and the king was the supreme defender of Buddhists and monks. Laos believe that shaving as a monk is an important social qualification and is respected. Most dances in Laos are related to Buddhism and deeply influenced by Buddhism. The popularity of dance in Laos is very high, and almost everyone can sing and dance well, which is closely related to the national customs and the inheritance of Buddhism in Laos.
Laos is a country with Buddhism as its main religion. More than 90% of the residents in this country are Buddhists. The influence of Buddhism permeates all aspects of people's daily life, and most customs and etiquette are related to Buddhism. Due to the prosperity of Buddhism, the religious music and court dance in Laos have obvious Buddhist characteristics, showing the quietness, elegance and solemnity of the gods.
Besides Buddhism, the Lao people also believe in primitive fetishism, Catholicism and Christianity. There are 15% elderly people. There are many ethnic groups in Laoting and Laosong, and many Thais believe in primitive fetishism. The ghosts and gods that Thai people believe in can be divided into three categories: family gods, mountain gods and village gods. Yao people worship their ancestors and are superstitious about all kinds of ghosts and gods. In addition, they regard natural disasters, man-made disasters, birth, illness and death as "the harm of witches", so those who are regarded as "the harm of witches" will be driven out of the village or executed. In primitive fetishism, some sacrificial dances were preserved and handed down. Whenever there are sacrifices and natural disasters, people will dance with the leader and pray for God's blessing.
The climate in Laos is hot and humid, people's clothes have obvious tropical style, and the costumes of all ethnic groups also have their own characteristics. Laos will wear traditional clothes when dancing. Laolong's national costume is very similar to that of Dai people in Xishuangbanna, China. Men wear collarless double-breasted shirts, sarong pants or long-sleeved wide-leg pants, and women wear collarless oblique-breasted shirts and skirts. Whenever there is a Spring Festival holiday or major event, women should wear national costumes and put on a bun, and men should wear "sarong" and headscarves to celebrate with songs and dances. Some women in the old listening tribe wear blue skirts and tops with a piece of cloth wrapped around their legs, while men wear dark blue pants and tops. There are also some old ladies who like to wear black flower skirts made of striped cloth. A man doesn't wear a coat, and his lower body just wears a thin red cloth towel around his waist. When Lao women dance to celebrate festivals, they can get one or two sets of "window dressing" clothes. The fabric is mainly cotton and yarn blended coarse cloth with bright colors, with exquisite folk patterns and beads. When performing dance performances, young women's costumes are rich in colors, mainly bright yellow, orange, pink and lavender, while older women's costumes are mainly dark purple, brown, dark green and dark blue. Although the colors are diverse, the overall style is still relatively consistent.
