Cantonese Music Style Guzheng Pieces
Guangdong music style guzheng tunes include:
1. The Fishing Boat Sings in the Evening.
Traditional Guzheng solo masterpiece. It is generally assumed that this piece was adapted by Lou Shuhua in the mid-1930s from the material of the ancient song "Returning to the Rhetoric".
The title of the piece is taken from the good name of the famous piece "Preface to Teng Yu Pavilion" by the Tang Dynasty poet Wang Bo: "The fishing boat sings in the evening, ringing out on the shore of Peng Li." The whole piece of music is extremely poetic and picturesque, with a smooth melody, first slow and then fast, first loose and then tight, with layers of emotions, vividly depicting the scenery of the lake and the mountains under the setting sun and the pleasant realm of the fishing boats competing for the return of the fishermen singing in harmony.
2. "High Mountains and Flowing Water".
One of China's top ten ancient songs. This song was first seen in China's earliest surviving collection of zither music "magical secret score". It is a piece of work of painting scenery and writing, with a melodious and smooth melody, a light and fresh style, a simple and elegant sound, and a far-reaching and long meaning. The piece is based on the famous ancient Chinese musical story "Boya dropped his zither to thank his soulmate", and expresses the realm of "lofty as a mountain, oceanic as a river and sea".
3, "Dong Dance".
Composed by Prof. Jiao Jinhai of Xiamen University in 1983. In that year, the author carried a guzheng to go deeper into life, to two Dong autonomous counties, the Dong autonomous county of Hunan Passage and the Dong autonomous county of Hunan Xinhuang. In the process of living, the author felt the love of the Dong people for life and their profound musical style, and then created this classic work of zheng.
4, "Banana Window Night Rain".
It is one of the outstanding representative pieces of the Guangdong Hakka zheng art school in China. Along with the sound of the rain hitting the banana leaves, it is alone to realize the helplessness of nostalgia, and the flavor of the Hakka music floats everywhere in the music, which is a powerful embodiment of the connotation of the Hakka culture.
5, "Han Palace Autumn Moon".
Originally a pipa song of the Chongming School, the style is pure, simple and elegant, a representative zheng song of Shandong. It mainly expresses the ancient palace maiden's sorrowful and sad mood and an inexorable, lonely and cold life mood.
