Synchronous rope skipping is a traditional sports event in Xi City, Shaanxi Province, and it is one of the fourth batch of provincial intangible cultural heritage lists in Shaanxi Province. Twelve categories, more than 60 groups of rope tracks and more than 300 jumping methods make this sport full of challenges and surprises. Historical origin of double rope skipping
Among the cultural relics unearthed in Mawangdui, there is a saying of "long rope jumping", and the picture of skipping rope has appeared in the stone carving depiction of "Le Wu Che Tu" in Han Dynasty. Book of the Northern Qi Dynasty in Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties? There is a record of skipping rope by a single person in "The Last Master". Skipping rope was called "threading rope" in Tang Dynasty, "skipping rope" in Song Dynasty, "jumping white rope" in Ming Dynasty and "rope flying" in Qing Dynasty.
Ming Dynasty's "A Brief Introduction to the Imperial Capital" said: "Two boys lead the rope slightly, like a white wheel, and one boy jumps into the light, saying: jump on the white rope." "Jumping white rope" is also called "jumping hundred ropes". Youzhou folk song says: "Taiping Drum, beating drums, white light is like a child's round dance, one son dances for the other, and the other jumps into the white light." This is the mother-child jump of synchronized rope skipping now. During the Republic of China, it gradually evolved and developed, and was called "skipping rope".
