Corneal senile ring is a lipid-like deposit in corneal stroma around cornea, which gradually develops into a ring. Common in the elderly, mostly bilateral. Occasionally seen in young people. The ring of the elderly is a degenerative change of genetic tendency, and sometimes it is also a manifestation of hyperlipidemia or elevated serum cholesterol.
