What are the famous music records in the history of China?
In China's "Twenty-four History" books, most of them have a special account of music since Historical Records. There is Le Shu in Historical Records, and the rest are either called Yue Ji or Yue Ji, or combined with ritual narration, called Li Yue Ji. The music records of each generation not only objectively describe the music theory, music evolution, music types and music and dance works of the previous generation, but also highlight the existing situation of current music. Historical materials contained in local chronicles can often be compared and supplemented with each other, which is an important source of information for studying the history of traditional music of various ethnic groups in China. For example, the Records of Rites and Music in Hanshu include Song of Sacrifice to the Suburb, Chamber Music, Yuefu, etc., which are rarely involved and are rare historical materials for studying the music of the Western Han Dynasty. Yue Ji in Song Dynasty not only recorded the measures taken by the ruling class about singing and dancing, works such as Ya Song, and the evolution, system and lyrics of court sacrifices, ritual music and dance from Wei Jin to Liu Song Dynasty, but also recorded folk songs, thirteen songs of Han history, Qing Shang Daqu, cymbals worship, acrobatics and so on. Sui Shu Yuezhi recorded Su Zhipo's five-Dan and seven-tone music, eight-tone music and seven Sui music. His book is missing, and the information is very precious. The Book of Rites and Music in the New Tang Dynasty is richer in historical materials than the Book of Music in the Old Tang Dynasty, which can not only make up for its shortcomings, but also compare with each other. The History of Song Dynasty records a large number of Le Shu lost by Song people, and the information is very scarce. Music of Liao History, Music of Jin History, Music of Yuan History, etc. , recorded the court music and folk music of ethnic minorities such as Khitan, Nuzhen and Mongolia, which has important academic value for studying the history of northern ethnic music and the history of music exchange among ethnic groups.
