Why do people nowadays pay more and more attention to traditional culture?

Nowadays, human beings live in the global village. Although they all agree with the diversity of eastern and western cultures on the surface, the traditional form of cultural hegemony of "three points of unreasonable strength" is deeply rooted. I remember that former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher was asked by the media when she was in office: "China's TV sets have been exported to Britain. Do you feel the crisis? " Margaret Thatcher confidently replied, "Ask me this question when China's TV programs are exported to Britain!" From people's confidence in culture, we can see how arrogant this cultural village tyrant mentality in the old capitalist countries is! It also reminds us of the sorrow of a country and nation without culture! Now, although it seems that the era when cultures reached each other has passed, there is still a long way to go for China culture to truly enter the discourse space of the first world dialogue and be accepted and respected by most people outside the region!

For more than a century, driven by utilitarianism, we have imported and accepted the culture of western developed countries, and only exported simple and cheap products, which does not represent cultural attributes at all. Due to the underdeveloped economy, we lack cultural competitiveness in the world, which leads to a serious imbalance in the culture of importing but not exporting. In this kind of communication, we are more and more aware that our excellent traditional culture is constantly being divided by the impact of foreign culture, and traditional ethics such as truth, goodness and beauty are replaced by western pragmatism. Even the clothing culture has been completely westernized, which is just a microcosm of culture. Simply put, many ordinary people don't even understand the meaning of Christmas in foreign countries. One by one, they only need half a catty of pig's head meat and two bottles of Erguotou to spend Christmas. I have also seen a couple who adore foreign things and flatter foreigners get married at McDonald's in Beijing. Foreign culture is not terrible. The terrible thing is that we have no culture ourselves!

China traditional culture is the essence accumulated by the Chinese nation for thousands of years, and it is the crystallization of wisdom that is constantly summarized and evolved. Through its own filtration and regeneration, it has been among the world's cultural forests, with its own system in politics, economy, military affairs, culture, science and technology, religion and life encyclopedia, and its inheritance is clear. Therefore, with the rapid development of China's economy, how can our cultural "golden signboard" last forever?

People of insight have long realized the danger of cultural alienation. We have a large number of traditional cultures, which will not be lost to any country or nation. However, some excellent traditional cultures are only tools for a few researchers and practitioners to make a living as a profession.
