Zhuang Culture How the Zhuang People Communicate in Their Own Language and Writing

The Zhuang language is still commonly used in the rural areas and some towns where the Zhuang people live, but the Zhuang language has not been popularized so far due to various reasons; now some Zhuang people living in some counties and cities have switched to using Chinese as their daily language, but the proportion of the urban Zhuang in the total population of the Zhuang is not large, and on the whole, the Zhuang people using Zhuang as their mother tongue still account for more than 90% of the population of the Zhuang people. At the same time, more and more young Zhuang have learned to use Chinese fluently and have become bilingual. The name of the bank and the denomination written in Zhuang script are printed on the RMB.

Fangzhuangwen

More than a thousand years ago, the Zhuang people made use of the Chinese characters' radicals, radicals, and pronunciation, semantics, and created the Fangzhuang character (Tujiazi), the folk use of Tujiazi according to the "Dictionary of Ancient Zhuang Characters" (Su Yongqin, etc.) statistics for about 4,800, the Song - Fan Chengda "Gui Hai Yu Heng Zhi," which reads, "The remote common ugly, ultimatums v. vouchers, specializing in Tujiazi, Guilin all of them, the Guilin people, the Zhuang language. specializing in native books, as was the case in all the counties of Guilin." However, due to the different shapes of characters in different places, there was no uniform specification, the strokes were too complicated, it was not easy to write, it was inconvenient to use, and it was not adopted for administrative documents and formal education (of course, this is also related to the fact that the Zhuang people did not establish a unified regime state). The square Zhuang script is still popular in the Zhuang region.

Folk artists use it to record, write, and organize stories, legends, songs, and dramas such as Buber, Liu Sanjie, Hundred Bird Clothes, and The Story of Nong Zhigao, leaving us valuable historical information and cultural wealth. 1993, the Science and Technology Commission of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region organized experts to complete the design of software for the processing system for the ancient Zhuang characters, which was used to organize the transcripts of the ancient Zhuang characters of the Zhuang ethnic groups, and to organize the ancient Zhuang characters of the Zhuang ethnic groups. In 1993, the Science and Technology Commission of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region organized experts to complete the software design of the ancient Zhuang character processing system, and used it to collate various kinds of ancient Zhuang character transcripts, and successively published the "Translation and Annotation of Brodha Scripture Poetry", "Integration of Ancient Folk Songs of the Zhuang People", "Loud and Clear Songs", "Huanan" and so on, which demonstrated the ancient and rich traditional culture of the Zhuang people.

Pinyin Zhuang Program

After the founding of New China, the People's Government was very concerned about the development of the Zhuang language and script, and in the 1950s, it formulated and passed the Zhuang Program and promoted its use in the Zhuang areas, which was welcomed by the Zhuang people for a time.

The old Pinyin Zhuang Program in the 1950s was based on the Latin alphabet, with a mixture of Slavic and self-created alphabets. After the 1980s, all Zhuang scripts took the form of 26 Latin alphabets. Latin Zhuang is based on the northern dialect of the Zhuang language, and Wuming dialect of the Zhuang language is the standardized tone.
