Does manufacturing belong to industry
Manufacturing reflects the country's productivity level, according to the material form used in production, can be divided into discrete manufacturing and process manufacturing.
Industry is the exploitation of natural resources and the processing of a variety of raw materials of the material production sector of society, it is the main component of the secondary industry, divided into two categories of light industry and heavy industry.

The three major industries, namely, the primary industry, the secondary industry and the tertiary industry, are as follows:
1. 3. The tertiary industry refers to industries other than the primary and secondary industries (modern service industry or business), mainly including transportation, communication industry, finance, commerce, catering, education, public **** services and other non-material production sectors.
Classification of Manufacturing Industry
Manufacturing industry is divided into the following three categories:
1, light and textile industry, including food, beverages, tobacco processing, apparel, textile, leather, wood processing, furniture, printing, etc.;
2, resource processing industry, including petrochemicals, chemical fibers, medicine manufacturing industry, rubber, plastics, ferrous metals, etc.;
3, machinery, electronics manufacturing industry, including machine tools, special equipment, transportation tools, machinery and equipment, electronic communication equipment, instruments and so on.
What is the general tax rate of the manufacturing industry
Since April 1 of this year, the current tax rate of 16% for manufacturing and other industries has been reduced to 13%, and the current tax rate of 10% for transportation and construction industries has been reduced to 9%. The tax rate for the manufacturing sector is therefore 13%.
