: Hong Hao on the tripod
Poem said: Hong Hao does not surrender, willing to be on the wok ①, this is a true loyal minister, bright and open.
Hong Hao of the Southern Song Dynasty was on a mission from Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty to the Jin Dynasty. When he came to Yunzhong***Datong, Shanxi***, the Jin people forced him to work for Liu Yu***, who was originally from the Song Dynasty, but later surrendered to the Jin people***. Hong Hao said, "Having traveled ten thousand miles on the Emperor's mission, where can I serve two masters? This is impossible, I hate to be able to kill the rebel Liu Yu, where can I endure this humiliation to serve Liu Yu and live in peace? If I were to surrender, I would rather go to the frying pan." At that time, the Jin general Sticky didn't drink in great anger, and wanted to kill Hong Hao with a sword, at that time, there was a junior colonel inside the Jin soldiers who said, "This man is a real loyal minister, don't kill him." Then he knelt down and pleaded on behalf of Hong Hao. Later sticky no drink accepted the officer's request and exiled Hong Hao to this place Lengshan. When Hong Hao was a young man, he was a small official in Xiuzhou, and when a big flood came, many food could not be distributed to the people in time, so he suggested to the county magistrate to distribute the grain in the government storehouse and give it directly to the people who were affected by the disaster. At that time, Xiushu was a war of grain transportation, and rice had to be transferred to small cities, so Hong Hao suggested to the county magistrate to sell it to the people instead of transferring it. At that time, the county governor did not dare to take the responsibility and said, "No." Hong Hao added, "I am willing to give my life for the lives of 100,000 people, and I hope that the sheriff will distribute the grain to the people who are in danger." Later the governor was also y moved, and in this way the lives of 100,000 people were saved. Soon after the flood, he was confronted by thieves, who came to Hong's house and realized that he was Hong Hao Hong Fo Zi, and the thieves said, "Hong Fo Zi can't be robbed." : Ji Zha Hangs Up His Sword
The poem says: Yan Ling Ji Zi, not to be ashamed of the first heart, Xu Jun is dead, hanging up his sword in the grave forest.
Ji Zha, during the Spring and Autumn Period, was the duke of the ruler of the state of Wu. Once, Ji Zha passed by the state of Xu when he was on a mission to the state of Lu, so he went to pay a visit to the ruler of Xu. As soon as he saw Ji Zha, he was impressed by his temperament, and felt a great affinity for him. Xu Jun looked at Ji Zha's dignified appearance and attire, and was suddenly fascinated by the flickering sword at his waist. In ancient times, the sword was a kind of decoration and also represented a kind of etiquette. Whether it was a scholar and minister or a general, a sword was usually worn on the body.
This sword of Ji Zha was cast with great vigor, it was superbly conceived, warmly shaped, and several precious stones were set in it, which was elegant and dignified. Only someone with the temperament of Yanling Ji Zi was worthy of this sword. Although Xu Jun liked it in his heart, he was too embarrassed to express it, but he just looked at it with a bright gaze and couldn't stop looking at it. Ji Zha saw this, and secretly thought to himself, "When I have finished my business, I must come back and give this sword to Xu Jun. In order to fulfill his mission, Ji Zha was unable to give it to him for the time being.
Unexpectedly, by the time Ji Zha returned from his mission, Xu Jun had already passed away. Ji Zi came to Xu Jun's tomb, with indescribable grief and sadness in his heart. He looked at the bleak sky, hung the long sword on a tree, and prayed silently in his heart: "Although you are gone, the promise I made in my heart will always be there. I hope that your spirit in heaven, when looking toward this tree, will remember the time when I wore this long sword and said goodbye to you." He bowed silently to the tombstone and then returned to leave.
Ji Zha's attendant asked him, "What is the use of hanging this sword here, when Lord Xu has already passed away? But Ji Zha said, "At the beginning, I have already promised it with my heart, how can I go back on my heart with my death?" This means that although he is gone, my heart was once committed to him. Jun Xu liked the sword very much, and I thought in my heart that when I returned, I must give it to him. A gentleman speaks of honesty and morality, how can I turn my back on the faith and righteousness that is proper for a human being and violate my original intention just because he has passed away?
Sages and sages since ancient times have taught us time and again that high aspirations are often manifested in the heart. Just like Ji Zha, he did not violate the integrity of a human being because of the death of Xu Jun, not to mention that his promise was only born in his heart. This kind of "letter" to the extreme behavior, so that the descendants of the immense respect and moved, can be said to be "big letter not about".
The root cause of a person's success or failure stems from the sincerity and respect in our hearts. If you can't even speak the proper credit, it's hard to imagine what kind of things can be accomplished. Confucius said, "If a man has no credit, he does not know what he can do." Without credit, it is like a car that cannot move. The Middle Ages says, "There is nothing without sincerity." If there is a lack of sincerity of heart, with due credibility, it is difficult to accomplish any endeavor.
Language is the outward expression of the heart, which has a great deal of relevance and far-reaching influence. Zeng Zi once mentioned, "Move your face and appearance, and you will be far from being violent and slow." When we speak, how we look is crucial. It is also because it represents our heart, from our behavior and speech connotation, the other side will be able to analyze the inner world of the speaker, so our words must be careful.
Words are the voice of the heart, words are the expression of the heart to feelings, to clearly see, know the true character of the person, we must pay attention to the inner world of people. The heart is good, the behavior is good, the heart is evil, the behavior is naturally biased. In this intriguing story, although Ji Zha's heart wanted to give the sword to Xu Jun, he did not make a verbal promise, not to mention that Xu Jun had already passed away. However, he still kept his promise and left the sword, which was worth thousands of dollars, hanging it on a tree in despair. And he said, "At the beginning, I have already promised my heart, how can I go back on my heart with my death?" In this down to say, the sound of the three words, the spirit of righteousness, indeed, has been passed down through the ages and immortal.
: Liu Ping period of thieves
Poem said: Liu Ping to avoid the chaos, thieves want to cook, begging to return to eat his mother, go to the thieves do not deceive.
At the time of the Eastern Han Dynasty, there was a man named Liu Ping, who fled from trouble with his mother in his arms. One day he went out to seek food, and met a group of hungry robbers who wanted to cook and eat him. Liu Ping kowtowed and said, "Now I'm going to look for some wild vegetables for my mother, so let me send them back to my mother to eat, and then come back to cook and eat them for you." The robbers heard this and pitied him, so they let him go.
Liu Ping returned home, gave the wild vegetables to his mother to eat, and reported to her, "My son made an appointment with the robbers to send the wild vegetables back, and I have to go back, and it is not possible to deceive them." When he had said this, he went back to the robbers, who were astonished! They said to each other, "Once I heard of a martyr, but now I have seen it with my own eyes; go away, we cannot bear to eat you!" So Liu Ping preserved his life.
With words and sincerity, all things in heaven and earth can be touched.
