What is accounting? Briefly describe its characteristics.
Answer: Accounting is the primary function of accounting and the foundation of the whole accounting work. Accounting uses monetary measurement to confirm, measure, record and report economic activities, and provides true, correct and reliable accounting information to meet management needs. The accounting function has the following three characteristics:
① Accounting is mainly based on monetary measurement, supplemented by non-monetary measurement and written description, and reflects the process and results of economic activities of each unit from the value aspect; ② Accounting is complete, continuous and systematic; (3) Carry out both accounting and after-the-fact accounting, and provide information for forecasting the future.
