Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County is definitely one of the most representative places in Liuzhou, which is well known by more and more tourists because of its rich ethnic customs and distinctive buildings. Nowadays, there is a place that tourists must visit when they come to Sanjiang, and that is Chengyang Bazhai, which preserves the Dong culture and flavor. In fact, I heard about the original ecology here a long time ago. When I came here today, I found that it was really similar to my initial impression.

Chengyang is called "Saye" locally. It consists of eight natural villages: Ma 'anzhai, Pingzhai, Yanzhai, Pingzhai, Zhi Dai, Chengyang Dazhai, Pingpu and Jichang, so it is called "Chengyang Eight Villages". A * * *, although there are eight stockades, but the population here is not much, only 10000. At present, most of the villages are middle-aged. There are many old people and children, and most of the young people have gone out.

Chengyang Bazhai is a very interesting place, which is different from other ethnic minorities. Dong people living here have festivals every month, and there are 12 different festivals every year. I remember chatting with a local Dong people. He said humorously that we have many holidays and different holidays every month.

Because there are many festivals here, it is called the "Hometown of Hundred Festivals", and many foreign tourists are most looking forward to the Hundred Festivals of the Dong people. This grand festival was originally a prayer ceremony held within the Dong people to pray for peace for the sake of deliberation. It is said that Baijia Banquet originated in the Northern Song Dynasty and has a history of 970 years.

I believe many people can understand what kind of traditional festival this is from the words "Hundred Families Banquet". Every time a hundred banquets come, every family in the stockade will cook some of the best dishes, and then find an empty place to set tables and chairs. Everyone will sit together, tasting delicious food and pulling a family.

Nowadays, tourists can attend a banquet in person when they come to Chengyang Bazhai. Before enjoying the banquet, they need to hold a dinner ceremony. Dong people will sing and dance, and thank God for his gift by singing and dancing. When everyone finishes their first glass of wine together, they can start eating. Because the tables and chairs are placed together, the scene looks very spectacular. The best way to eat a hundred banquets is to eat on foot, and you will be caught by chopsticks wherever you go. This is not impolite, but a hundred feasts for Dong people.

Nowadays, the variety of dishes at Baijia Banquet is much more than before, which not only proves that the life of Dong people is getting better and better, but also proves that their food culture is getting richer and richer. The staple food is glutinous rice, as well as bacon, preserved eggs, chicken, vegetables, and some insects that locals prefer to eat. When the host asked everyone to propose a toast together, the banquet officially began.

The whole ceremony and dining process of Baijia Banquet takes about 1 hour. After that, it will be the final finale: the flow of mountains and rivers, and this ceremony of Dong people is quite large in scale. When I experienced this project that day, I couldn't estimate the staff of 15, but it was because of the large number that the scene was more spectacular.

Nowadays, the customs of ethnic minorities are much less, and young people have gone out, leaving only the elders who have lived in this land all their lives. On holidays, they still wear traditional costumes, sing songs handed down by their ancestors and play their own national musical instruments. To understand their life and culture, participating in it is the best way, watching a wonderful opening ceremony and tasting a grand banquet for hundreds of families. This is definitely the best memory of my coming to Sanjiang.
