What's the general rate for POS machines?
According to the regulations of China UnionPay and the People's Bank of China, merchants need to pay the following fees when using UnionPay POS machines: 1. General merchants: 0.78% (referring to the vast majority of merchants such as general retail stores, clothing stores, barbershops and restaurants. ); 2. Catering and entertainment: 1.25% (refers to bathing, hotels, jewelry and gold, etc. ); 3. People's livelihood industry category: 0.38% (referring to supermarkets, gas stations, ticketing, etc. ); 4. The capping rate: 26 to 80 yuan (refers to the wholesale market, real estate car sales, etc. ); The above fees were charged according to the document No.2012 (263) of the People's Bank of China, which was implemented on February 25th, 20 13.
