The Historical Origin of Heluo Drum
Heluo Drum originated from the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, and developed on the basis of Luoyang Qin Shu. Luoyang Qin Shu was once called Qin Yin, and the early accompaniment instrument was the traditional seven-string guqin in China. In the early days, Qin Shu's singing methods were mostly closed eyes, euphemistic and delicate, multi-word and multi-cavity, and the rhythm was slow and procrastinating. Most of his singing books are short stories with talents and beauties. Yin Qin is sung among bureaucrats, businessmen and literati, with elegant lyrics and songs. After flowing into the folk, it was renamed Qin Shu, and its piano was also changed to dulcimer. According to the local records of Luoyang, the formation process and initial time of Heluo Drum are as follows: Before the end of Qing Dynasty, there was a popular folk art form in Luoyang called Qin Shu. Around the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, Duan Yan and others went to Duanwan Village, where Qin and Shu artists were concentrated, to learn local drum songs. Combined with the piano books of Luoyang dialect, drums with Luoyang local characteristics were gradually formed. During the development of Heluo drum, there were names such as drum touching string, drum warp cavity and Luoyang drum, and the name of Heluo drum was officially named 1952. The most common performance form of Heluo drum is that the lead singer plays the steel plate with his left hand and the flat drum with his right hand, and the other musician is accompanied by Hu. The singing style is lively and lively, with a warm atmosphere. It is often performed in rural courtyards in the form of wish books.
