Philosophical significance of Buddhism
The so-called philosophy is the theory of how human beings view themselves and the world. The cognitive level of Buddha and philosopher is totally different. Buddhism is the truth of cosmic life, which was truthfully verified by the Buddha with perfect wisdom, and the so-called philosophy is the product of theoretical research in a way of thinking.
There is no explanation for "emptiness" in philosophical theory at all. It draws all kinds of unreal conclusions based on our limited sensory functions. So there is a ridiculous distinction between "materialism" and "idealism" For a simple example, our eyes can't see everything, and this science has given the answer. As far as spectrum is concerned, the spectrum that our eyes can see is very limited, and it is impossible to see it all with the help of scientific instruments. The ability of bright eyes is still the same, but the ability of other senses is different. Then, according to materialism, we can only admit the part of light that our limited eyes can see, and our eyes can't see much actual light, so we don't have to admit it. You see how ridiculous this statement is! Do you agree with the conclusion based on this incomplete sensory function? Isn't it impossible to say that matter comes first and thought comes second?
Give another life event. When our parents are alive, because our eyes can see them, according to philosophical materialism, we should have a reflection of our parents' image in our hearts, so we should listen to them and obey them. If our father dies, our eyes will be blind. According to the materialist theory of philosophy, there is a saying that consciousness is certain. Shouldn't we have the same reflection of our parents' image in our hearts as before? In fact, will the relationship between parents and children be like this? There are many, many, as long as we have a clear mind to distinguish, philosophical materialism is simply untenable.
So Buddhism and philosophy are two different things.
