Dance music of the Dai people is very popular now.
Dai folk songs mostly adopt pentatonic scale, and there are few voices outside pentatonic scale. There are three kinds of modal backbone frames composed of three-tone series. They are [[Domsol]], and the ending is Gong Yin or Andrew; [[Radomie]], the ending is a public sound, an angular sound or a feather sound;
[[SolDoRe]], the ending sound is a business sound or a logo sound. There are also some Dai folk songs that use the [[Solado]] modal backbone framework. The lamentation, called "Be careful to call the sea" in Dai language, was sung by the mother and daughter when the girl got married, and the lyrics showed their reluctant feelings. Religious songs are characterized by close intonation. In addition, there are hypnotic songs and nursery rhymes. Rap music is sung by one person, accompanied by one person, with two instruments, namely Fu and Gui. Melody is closely combined with language, and the rhythm is relatively stable. The music structure is basically the repeated changes of paragraphs, and the lyrics are also rhyming.
