After the establishment of the Huajin Dance Theater Troupe, the troupe firstly undertook the performance of the large-scale folk dance drama A Handful of Sour Jujubes, which was created by the college. Under their hard work, "a handful of sour jujube" was successfully selected as one of the top ten fine plays of the 2005-2006 National Stage Art Excellence Project, and won the Outstanding Drama Award of the Tenth Spiritual Civilization Construction Five Projects of the Central Propaganda Department, and the Wenhua Drama Award of the Twelfth Wenhua Prize of the Ministry of Culture. "Wenhua Drama Award, Wenhua Choreographer Award, Wenhua Music Composition Award, Wenhua Stage Art (Choreography) Award, Wenhua Performance Award and many other awards. So far, Huajin Dance Theater Troupe has performed "A Handful of Sour Jujubes" for more than 900 performances, which have spread all over the motherland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. In addition, they also represent China to the United States, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Russia, Bahrain and other countries to carry out cultural exchanges, for the promotion of traditional Chinese culture, the implementation of "China's culture to go global" strategy to make a positive contribution.

The large-scale original dance drama "Ink Spring and Autumn" is another masterpiece launched by Huajin Dance Theater Troupe after "A Handful of Jujubes". Since its successful premiere on November 11, 2011 at the Poly Theater in Beijing, the play has been performed in Shanghai, Nanjing, Nanchang, Kunming, Shenzhen and other places, and in March 2012, during the "Two Sessions" held in the National Grand Theater in Beijing for the delegates of the National People's Congress to do a special report performance, by the community's widespread concern and unanimous praise. In June 2012, commissioned by the Ministry of Culture, "Spring and Autumn in Chinese Ink" was grandly staged at the world-famous Sydney Opera House as the closing performance of the "Year of Chinese Culture" in Australia.
