The Origin of Suzhou Garden Arch
It is based on the rainbow in the sky. Round arch, round portal. It is a circular cross gate in the classical garden buildings in China, and there is no entrance guard. Because the round hole is shaped like a full moon, it is actually called the Moon Cave Gate and the Moonlight Gate. Arch originated from western architecture, and people associate it with the rainbow in the sky as a permanent building with commemorative significance. Suzhou Classical Garden, referred to as Suzhou Garden for short, is a world cultural heritage, a national AAAAA tourist attraction and one of the top ten scenic spots in China.
