Once, the evil god secretly reported that the earth was cursing the Heavenly Emperor and wanted to plot against the Heavenly Court. The Zaoshen of each family discussed countermeasures, and its method was: from the day of sending the Zaoshen on the 23rd day of the Lunar New Year to the day before receiving the Zaoshen on the New Year's Eve, every family cleaned up, otherwise the Zaoshen wouldn't enter the mansion. People followed the instructions of the god of the stove, sweeping dust, dusting off cobwebs, and cleaning up the whole house. On New Year's Eve, Wang Lingguan came to earth and found that every house was clean. Wang Lingguan couldn't find any marks to mark the bad signs, so he rushed back to the Heavenly Court and reported to the Jade Emperor truthfully. Only then did the Jade Emperor realize that he had been deceived by the evil gods and sent down an order to arrest them.
