Brief introduction of traditional Philippine clothing

The early Filipinos-and the tribal groups that still exist in the Philippines-wore colorful woven clothes, usually with "complicated beadwork" and other decorations.

In the pre-Spanish period, other local costumes in the Philippines were canga and bahag. Canga is a collarless shirt-Barong Tagalog, later decorated with shoelaces, trims, buttons and collars, evolved here. Bahag, on the other hand, is a belt or thong.
