Why is Russia a traditional European country?

Although most of Russia's territory is in Asia, most of its people, including the capital, are still in that part of Europe, which leads to westernization of their living habits and ways of thinking.

The territory in Asia is vast and sparsely populated, and quite a large area cannot live at all.

Russia spans two continents, occupying the eastern part of Europe and the northern and central parts of Asia, covering an area of 22.4 million square kilometers, accounting for 15% of the world's land area. Asia accounts for about three quarters of Russia's territory, but it is recognized as a European country in the world. The main reasons are: (1) its European part is the core of Russia's rise. Since it emerged as a country in the ninth century, it has been the political, economic and cultural center of Russia and the base camp for its outward expansion; (2) After the victory of the October Revolution, since the Second World War, although the Soviet Union's productivity layout has undergone great changes, a series of energy bases, raw material bases and new industrial centers have appeared in Asia, but the traditional core position of the European part has not changed, and it is still the focus of Russian business; (3) Europe is the most densely populated and economically developed region in Russia. It has three quarters of the country's population, total industrial and agricultural output value and transportation lines, and consumes four fifths of the country's energy. (4) The capital Moscow is located in the center of the European part of Russia. Therefore, no matter from the historical, geographical or cultural status quo, Russia is a traditional European country, not an Asian country. This has been recognized by the world.
