What does Zeg mean?

Zege is sour horse milk.

Zege (sour mare's milk) is a dairy product made of fresh mare's milk through traditional Mongolian processes such as washing, inoculation, fermentation, stirring and cooling. It is milky white or light blue, with the inherent fragrance of sour mare milk, slightly sour and no peculiar smell. Zege (sour horse milk) has a long history, and sour horse milk is a relatively advanced daily drink in Mongolian milk food.

Zege (sour mare's milk) is made from fermented mare's milk. When fermented into sour mare's milk, 0.5%~ 1% of whey acid and 0.5%~2.5% of ethanol are produced. Because the appearance of sour horse milk is different from that of white wine, and it has not been distilled, it is called "Zege" (meaning pale white and blue).
