Relationship between the head and internal organs and meridians
"Suwen - Pulse Essentials Essence" states that: "The head is the essence of the head. pointed out that "the head is the capital of the essence", Zhang Jiebin note: "all rise in the head." This means that the head has a close relationship with the function of the organs and organs in the human body.
The head is the meeting of the yang, the hands and feet of the six yang meridians are up in the head. Hand, foot and yangming meridian distribution in the forehead and face, foot yangming stomach meridian "from the nose, cross the neck, next to about the sun's veins, down through the nose outside ...... on the ear in front of the guest master, through the hair, to the forehead cranium ....... " The hand, foot and Shaoyang meridians are distributed in the lateral part of the head. Hand Shaoyang Sanjiao Meridian "...... its branches, from the back of the ear into the middle of the ear, out in front of the ear, through the front of the guest master, crossing the cheeks, to the eye sharp adjoining." Foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian "starts from the eye sharp canthus, goes up to the corner of the head, goes down behind the ear, follows the neck and travels before the Shaoyang of the hand ...... its text, enters the middle of the ear from behind the ear, goes out in front of the ear, and arrives at the back of the eye sharp canthus ......."
The hand and foot solar meridians are distributed in the head and cheeks, head and neck. The Foot Solar Bladder Meridian "starts from the inner canthus of the eye, goes up the forehead and crosses the summit; its branch goes from the summit to the upper corner of the ear; its straight one goes from the summit into the complex brain, and also goes out of the other lower neck ......."
The Vertical Chakra "goes up to the Feng Fu, enters the brain, goes up to the top, follows the forehead, and goes to the nasal column."
The six Yin meridians in the hands of the Shao-Yin and the foot syncope meridian directly in the head and face, especially the foot syncope liver meridian in the "after the throat, up into the down the forehead, even the eye system, up out of the forehead, and the Governor's vein will be in the top; its branch, from the eye system under the cheeks, the ring within the lips ......."
In addition to the hand Shaoyin and foot syncope Yin meridians directly up the head and face, all the Yin meridian meridian meridians into the Yang meridians in the phase of the surface are reached after the head and face. Therefore, the human body through the meridians, meridians and other links in the concentration of the head and face. In the theory of qi street, "qi street of the head" is listed as the first place, the reason is also for this reason, and therefore there is "qi out of the brain" elaboration. All these show that the head and face is an important part of the meridian qi collection, acupuncture treatment attaches great importance to the important role of the head acupoints.
Jiao's head acupuncture
Comrade Shanxi Jiao Shunfa first proposed in 1971, is the cerebral cortex function localization as the theoretical basis for the treatment of various diseases by means of acupuncture. Clinically commonly used in cerebral origin diseases.
The localization of the stimulation zone and the main treatment
In order to accurately grasp the localization of the stimulation zone, first of all, we must determine two standard lines. Anterior and posterior median line: from the middle of the head between the two eyebrows to the lower edge of the occipital roughness. The eyebrow-occipital line: is the horizontal line from the midpoint of the upper edge of the eyebrow to the tip of the occipital roughness of the side of the head.
Motor area
Location: corresponds to the projection of the central anterior gyrus of the cerebral cortex on the scalp. The upper point in the front and rear midline midpoint 0.5 cm back; lower point in the eyebrow occipital line and sideburns intersection of the front edge of the hairline, if the sideburns are not obvious, from the zygomatic arch mid-point upward to lead a vertical line, the intersection of this line and the eyebrow occipital line moved forward 0.5 cm for the lower point of the motor area. The line between the upper and lower points is the movement zone. The motor area was divided into five equal parts, with the upper 1/5 being the lower limb and trunk motor area. The middle 2/5 is the upper limb motor area, and the lower 2/5 is the head and face motor area, also known as the speech one area.
Treatment: upper 1/5 of the motor area, treatment of contralateral lower limb and trunk paralysis; middle 2/5 of the motor area, treatment of contralateral upper limb paralysis; lower 2/5 of the motor area, treatment of contralateral central facial nerve paralysis, motor aphasia, salivation, dysphasia and so on.
Sensory area
Location: corresponds to the projection of the posterior gyrus in the center of the cerebral cortex on the scalp. The parallel line that moves 1.5 centimeters back from the motor area is the sensory area. The upper l/5 is the lower limb, head and trunk sensory area; 2/5 is the upper limb sensory area; the lower 2/5 is the facial sensory area.
Treatment: upper 1/5 of the sensory zone, treatment of contralateral lumbar and leg pain, numbness, sensory abnormalities, back of the head, neck and neck pain, cephalalgia; 2/5 of the middle of the sensory zone, treatment of contralateral upper limb pain, numbness, sensory abnormalities; upper 1/5 of the sensory zone, treatment of contralateral facial numbness, migraines, temporomandibular arthritis, and so on.
Dance Tremor Control Zone
Position: parallel lines 1.5 cm forward in the motor area.
Treatment: chorea, tremor paralysis, tremor paralysis syndrome. (One side of the lesion against the side, both sides have lesions needle bilateral)
Prick method: with a long millimetre needle from the upper end of this line into the skin along the skin toward the eye canthus to the hairline, or with a 2-inch millimetre needle segmented into the line of rapid twisting needle technique.

The international standard line of head acupuncture
Since 1970, head acupuncture therapy has been gradually promoted in China, and soon it became one of the common treatment methods used by clinicians in some countries. Head acupuncture therapy is developed on the basis of traditional acupuncture medicine, the acupoint areas used and meridians, acupoints and internal organs are closely linked, and the names of the acupoints reflect the theories and characteristics of the meridians, acupoints and so on. The World Health Organization West Asia-Pacific acupuncture point name standardization meeting (in May 1984 in Tokyo) after discussion, decided in accordance with the zoning of the meridian, the meridian on the selection of points, and combined with the ancient penetration of acupuncture points (a needle through the double or triple acupuncture points) method of principle, the development of the standardization of the head of acupuncture point name program, including by the head of the name of the English alphanumeric numbering, the name of the acupuncture point of the Hanyu Pinyin and the Chinese characters of the three elements. The English MS in the number is the abbreviation of "micro-system" and "scalp points".

Methods of operation
1, position: take a sitting or lying position, according to the different diseases selected stimulation point area, unilateral limb disease, choose the opposite side of the stimulation area; bilateral limb disease, choose the bilateral stimulation area; and can choose the relevant stimulation area with the treatment. Local routine sterilization.
2, into the needle: generally use 28-30 1.5-2 inch long stainless steel needle. Needle and scalp at an angle of about 30 degrees to quickly stab the needle into the scalp, when the needle reaches the capitellar tendon membrane layer, feel the resistance under the finger to reduce, and then make the needle parallel to the scalp to continue to twist the needle, according to the different acupuncture points can be stabbed into the 0.5-1 inch. Then transport the needle.
3, transporting the needle: the head of the transport needle only twisting without lifting and inserting, in order to make the depth of the needle fixed and twisting the needle for convenience, generally with the palm side of the thumb and the radial side of the index finger to hold the needle handle, with the metacarpophalangeal joints of the index finger fast continuous flexion and extension, so that the needle body left and right rotating, twisting speed of up to 200 times a minute or so, continue to twist for 2-3 minutes after entering the needle, stay in the needle for 5-10 minutes, repeat the operation for two or three times! The needle can be started, and hemiplegic patients should be instructed to move their limbs during the period of needle retention (passive movement can be made for severe patients), so as to strengthen the functional exercise of the limbs. When starting the needle, if there is no sinking tightness under the needle, the needle can be pulled out quickly, or slowly out of the needle, after starting the needle with a sterilized dry cotton ball to press the needle hole for a moment to prevent bleeding.
4, electro-acupuncture stimulation: into the needle can also be used in the main acupuncture points in the electro-acupuncture device, instead of twisting the needle, the frequency can be 200-300 times / min, can also choose a higher frequency, stimulation waveform selection can be referenced to the electro-acupuncture, stimulation of the intensity of the patient's response to it.
5, the course of treatment: daily or every other day needle, 10-15 times for a course of treatment. After 5-7 days of rest, the next course of treatment.
Adaptation range
Head acupuncture is mainly adapted to treat cerebral disorders, such as paralysis, numbness, aphasia, vertigo, tinnitus, chorea and so on. In addition, it can also be used to treat common and frequent diseases such as lumbar and leg pain, nocturia, trigeminal neuralgia, frozen shoulder, and various kinds of neuralgia. Head acupuncture is also used in surgical acupuncture anesthesia. Because the use of head acupuncture is not yet long, the indications are still in the practice of continuous exploration and development.
Precautions
1, the treatment needs to master the appropriate amount of stimulation, pay attention to prevent fainting, especially when taking a sitting position, should always pay attention to observe the patient's color and expression.
2. For stroke patients, if there is coma, fever and high blood pressure caused by cerebral hemorrhage in the acute stage, it is not suitable to treat with head acupuncture for the time being, and then carry out acupuncture treatment after the condition and blood pressure are stabilized. If the hemiplegia is caused by cerebral thrombosis, it is advisable to use head acupuncture and body acupuncture combined treatment early. When there is high fever, acute inflammation and heart failure, it is generally prudent to use head acupuncture treatment.
3, the scalp is rich in blood vessels, easy to bleed, when starting the needle with a dry cotton ball to press the needle hole for a few moments, if there is bleeding and subcutaneous hematoma, can be gently rubbed to promote its dissipation.
