Small manufacturers are semi-automatic and operate in a single process. Large-scale full automation is still a minority. For example, boxes are usually folded by workers. Even in places with high hygiene requirements such as pharmaceutical factories, most of the boxes are folded by workers. But bottling is generally automatic (such as eye drops and infusion, from bottle blowing to filling in one go).

In terms of agency, it depends on your suitability. Some people do it well and beautifully. But we must accumulate experience, and it is best to start with business.

Which way to choose depends on your personal character and specialty. If you want to try it all, I suggest you do the design first, and don't like to switch to trade. It's a bit difficult to do trade first and then go back to design.
