Introduction to the Samoan Language
The Samoan language (Samoan: gagana fa'asamoa) (English: Samoan language) is one of the official languages of Samoa and American Samoa, and is the traditional language of both. Samoan belongs to the Polynesian group of the South Island language family. It belongs to the analytic languages, in which words do not change in the utterance itself, and grammar is represented by the order of words.
