Black Tiger eyes reveal a longing look asked the bear warrior: "Quickly tell how you converted to Buddhism?" "Ho ho, isn't it quite a simple thing?" The bear warrior naively replied, "I now follow Guanyin Bodhisattva devoutly to Buddha, chanting sutras three hundred times a day, can not be cultivated?" It turns out that cultivation is so simple.

Black Tiger deflated answer "ah ah ah I say tiger brother, who let you so chanting to the Buddha ah?" The bear warriors listen to the voice of the bitter: "You want to become a Buddha, playing the seat chanting to cultivate the nature of this is right.
But you can not do the surface, the key is to abandon evil from now on from the good, forbidding the killing, abstaining from meat and eating fasting ---- you have not heard of a Buddhist saying 'put down the butcher knife, the ground into Buddha'? " "What, cultivate the right fruit still have to ban killing and abstain from meat? This nagging thing too much I can not do!" Black Tiger shook his head in denial as soon as he heard it.
"Then there is no way." Bear bear fighters helplessly spread his hands and said: "You both want to kill and want to become a positive result, both want to become a Buddha and do not want to put down the butcher's knife, where under the sky is such a beautiful job? I dare to assert that in this life you will not be able to cultivate righteousness!"
2. The compassionate elephant
The fox went out to look for food and fell into a trap. It jumped and climbed just an inch short of escaping. The fox was desperate. An elephant passed by and saw the loud condemnation: "Who did this kind of bad thing God can not forgive ah! This is a terrible crime to lay a trap and kill living beings, is not afraid to be punished by retribution?"
"Big brother elephant do good, quickly pull a hand to save me." Seeing the elephant is like seeing the savior, the fox is relieved, its eyes are full of prayers, can not wait to ask the elephant for help.
"Ahem, poor little thing, how did it come to this?" Look at the fox at the bottom of the trap more than a meter deep struggling in a difficult situation, the elephant y sympathetic to move up the side of the heart, it put itself in the fox's shoes: "That gloomy trap is a hell on earth ah, how can you stay down it? Alas, really make me feel sorry for you!"
"Ai, big brother elephant, you first save me up to say teach, I can not stand in the bottom!" The fox was a bit anxious, it urged the elephant, expecting the elephant to save it up earlier, "Besides, once the damned hunter appears there will be big trouble."
"Alas, on the other hand, you can only blame yourself and no one else, who made you so careless and unaware of precautions, and now you have suffered a great loss, right?" Elephant ignored the fox's urging, still not slow to express his feelings: "We must know that the world is in crisis everywhere there are risks! Listen to my brother's advice: learn your lesson, and be more careful in the future."
"I say old ancestor, say a thousand good words is not as good as an action, can you stretch out your long nose to save me up ah? It's just a lift for you ah." The fox was completely anxious.
"That's no good, that's no joke." The elephant touched his trunk and said seriously, "What if you try too hard and rip my trunk off or drag me down with you? You'd better bear with me for a while, I'll go and call someone to save you, besides, I still have a lot of things to do, I'm sorry I can't accompany you to see you again." He said, leaving the fox behind.
The fox had a happy ending, and looked at the elephant, which was getting farther and farther away, and realized: "Alas, I finally understand! I finally realized that when you encounter difficulties, the more you show sympathy, the more you will say nice words, the more you may not be able to provide you with a little help!"
3, Bauhinia
During the Warring States period, Lin Xiangru of the State of Zhao made several trips to the State of Qin, and accompanied the King of Zhao to meet with the King of Qin, and each time, with his own great wisdom and courage, he thwarted the arrogant King of Qin, and therefore the King of Zhao valued Lin Xiangru, and at once promoted him to be the upper secretary of the state, above the old general Lian Po.
Lian Po, a highly decorated general, was displeased to see that Lin Xiangru's position was even higher than his own, and threatened everywhere, saying, "I have been killed for the state of Zhao, and I have made great achievements in attacking cities and seizing land. But this Lin Xiangru, who came from a lowly background, was able to rank above me just by drumming his three-inch tongue, which was really embarrassing to me! When I see Lin Xiangru again in the future, I must humiliate him in front of everyone."
When Lin Xiangru heard this, he always avoided Lian Po at all costs. Once, Lin Xiangru was riding in his car on the street, when he suddenly saw Lian Po's carriage galloping towards him, he hurriedly ordered his car to turn into an alley, and waited for Lian Po's carriage to pass by before coming out of the alley to continue on his way. Lin Xiangru's attendants saw their master give way to Lian Po again and again, as if they were very afraid of Lian Po.
They all felt disgraced, so they murmured and talked about leaving Lin Xiangru and going away. When Lin Xiangru found out about this, he brought them together and asked them, "Do you think that the King of Qin or Lian Po is more powerful?" The attendants said in unison, "How can Lian Po compare with the King of Qin!"
Lin Xiangru said, "That's it. People know that the King of Qin is powerful, but I am not even afraid of the mighty King of Qin, so how could I be afraid of General Lian? The reason why I don't clash with General Lian is that I have the interests of the country in mind! Think about it, isn't the reason why Qin doesn't dare to invade Zhao is because Zhao has both General Lian and me.
If the two of us were to fight each other, it would be like two tigers fighting, and the result would be that one of us would be injured, and Zhao would be weakened, and the state of Zhao would be in danger. So I don't care about General Lian, it's for the sake of the state of Zhao!" Later these words reached Lian Po, who was greatly moved. When he thought of his disrespectful words and behavior towards Lin Xiangru, he felt y that he was wrong, and was really ashamed and disgraced.
What a magnanimous old general Lian Po, stripped naked, carrying thorns on his back, and personally went to Lin Xiangru's residence to ask for forgiveness. Lin Xiangru hurriedly picked up the old general. From then on, Lian Po and Lin Xiangru were united by the general, and built up a life-and-death friendship for the country. When some of the vassal states heard about this, they did not dare to invade the state of Zhao.
Lin Xiangru's noble spirit of putting the interests of the country first regardless of personal grudges and Lian Po's frankness in correcting his mistakes inspire people to put the interests of the country and the nation in the first place at all times, regardless of the overall situation.
4. The law is like a deep stream
A man named Dong Xiongyu was sent to the Shangdi region of the State of Zhao as a magistrate. When Dong Xiongyu first arrived, he went deep into the people's affairs to investigate their customs and feelings, and to find out what they thought of him. One day, he came to Shiyi Mountain, and saw a deep stream in the mountain, with steep walls, like an axe, like a city wall; the stream was a hundred feet deep, very dangerous.
So Dong Xiongnu found someone who lived there and asked, "Has anyone here ever fallen into this deep stream?" The people there replied, "No one has ever fallen in." Dong Xiongnu then asked, "Have children who don't know what they are doing, or idiots, or deaf-mutes, or madmen, or people who are abnormal, ever fallen into it?" The people there replied, "Neither have they."
Dong Xiongnu continued, "Have cattle, horses, pigs and dogs ever fallen in?" The people still answered no. Dong Xiongnu thought for a moment and said, "Why haven't any animals or cattle ever fallen into this deep stream?" The people replied, "This deep stream is very gloomy and dangerous, so whoever goes into it will still have a life?
Therefore whoever walks near this deep stream is very careful, and either walks around it, or dares not touch it, and even the animals stop when they see this deep stream." Dong Xiongnu was so enlightened that he clapped his hands and sighed, "Good, I can rule my people well now.
If I set up a strict legal system and enforce the law harshly and without tolerance, so that people know that breaking the law is as dangerous to them as falling into this ten-thousand-fathom deep stream, then no one will break the law. In this way, what can I not govern?"
Wise people are always inspired and gain wisdom from the little things around them. When a man in power associates a dangerous deep stream with enforcing the law as if it were a mountain, one can imagine that he will surely have outstanding political achievements in the future.
5. Mizixu fell out of favor
Mizixu was a beautiful man in the state of Wei. He was a minister of the Duke of Wei, and was very popular with the king. There are two things that best illustrate the extent to which Duke Wei Ling favored Mizixu. One of them was the incident of Mizixu driving the king of Wei's carriage privately. On one occasion, Mizixu's mother was seriously ill. The messenger took a short cut in the dark and rushed to tell him the news that night.
In an instant, Yazhou's heart raced, and he wanted to fly to his mother's side as soon as he could. But the capital was a long way from home, so how could his heart be in the right place? The decree of the State of Wei clearly stipulates that those who drive the king's carriage privately will be sentenced to death by foot. In order to get home as soon as possible to seek medical treatment for his mother, Yizixian, regardless of his own safety, sent a driver to drive him home in Duke Wei's carriage under the pretense of the king's order.
When Duke Ling of Wei found out about this incident, he not only did not punish Mizixie, but also praised him, "You are really a filial son! In order to seek medical treatment for your mother, you are even afraid of the punishment of foot-breaking." The King of Wei's acceptance of half a peach that Mizikan had not finished eating was the second typical example of Duke Wei Ling's favoring Mizikan. What happened was this.
One day, Mizixuan accompanied Duke Wei Ling to visit an orchard. At that time, it was the ripening season of peaches, and the peach trees in the orchard were full of white and red fruits. The light wind sent the peach's intoxicating aroma, making people salivate. Yizi flaws reached out and picked a large and ripe peach, without washing or rubbing it, biting into it and eating it.
The freshness and crispness he felt when he picked and ate it was unlike anything he had ever experienced before. When he was halfway through his meal, he remembered the King of Wei beside him. Yazhou handed the King of Wei the leftover half of the food and asked him to share it with him. The king of Wei did not care that it was Mizixuan's leftover peach. He made a fool of himself and said, "You are really loving me by enduring your craving and giving me the delicious peach to eat!"
When Mizikan got older, his face showed the appearance of aging. The Duke of Wei lost his passion for him. At this time, if Mizikan offended the king of Wei, not only did he not accommodate him as he used to do, but also counted Mizikan's faults: "In the past, this guy used to use my car without authorization under a false order from the king, and he gave me the uneaten peaches without any respect from the king.
To this day, he has not changed his habits and is still doing things that offend me!" From his youth to his old age, Yizi Shao always treated Wei Linggong as one of his friends, and had no inhibitions in front of the king of Wei. But King Wei was different.
He used age and looks as the basis for favoring and disliking people, and thus showed diametrically opposed attitudes to the same things that Mizixu did. Therefore it is very wrong to decide on favor or disfavor on the basis of superficial appearance without regard to the nature of the matter.
6. The proud horse
Once upon a time, there was a rich man who had a very handsome high horse. He put a golden bridle on the horse, and put on a very splendidly decorated saddle, with a silk cushion embroidered with gold silk. When the horse saw that his master had made him so splendid, he became very proud and arrogant.
One day, when the horse was tied to a fence, it bit off the reins and ran away, neighing. He didn't get very far, but a donkey came right up to him, carrying a big, heavy pocket on his back, and walked along with difficulty, step by step. The horse, chewing his horse's cud and with his mouth full of foam, cried out in a loud voice from a distance, "Get out of my way! Who told you to be so uncharitable that you don't even know how to get out of my way quickly?
Get out of the way now, or wait for me to beat you to death and have someone drag you away?" The donkey was taken aback and quickly got out of the way, not daring to whine even half a word. The horse leaped forward and scampered through the thicket. But, just as it was dashing through the undergrowth, it injured its calf bone. From then on, it could never be used as a mount again.
His owner removed the gold bridle and saddle and sold him to a coachman. From then on, the horse had to work every day pulling a crate One day the donkey came across the horse again, and the donkey cried out, "Hello, friend! What brings you here too? Yikes! Where's your golden cage? Where are your shining silk cushions? Why haven't I seen it?
Oh, my dear friend, it is often the case in this world that pride and arrogance are punished." When you soar, disaster is often waiting at the door, and everyone must think of this. He who stands, take heed and do not fall.
7, decisive Ban Chao
During the Eastern Han Dynasty, Ban Chao helped his brother Ban Gu to write the Book of Han together, but he believed that a man's ambition should not be only on pen and paper, so he abandoned the literature to join the military and took part in the battles against the Xiong Nu. His resolute and bold character enabled him to make many meritorious achievements on the battlefield. Later, in order to unite the countries in the Western Region **** together to fight against the Xiongnu, the Eastern Han Dynasty sent Ban Chao as an envoy to the Western Region.
Ban Chao, holding the Han Dynasty's festival scepter, led an envoy of 36 men to set out. They first came to the Shanshan Kingdom. Ban Chao advanced to meet the king of Shanshan and said, "Your Honorable Majesty, our emperor of the Han Dynasty has sent me here in the hope of uniting your country*** against the Xiongnu. We have suffered a lot from the invasion of Xiong Nu, we should join hands to fight against the same enemy, so that Xiong Nu will not dare to rampage any more!"
Shanshan King has long known that the Han Dynasty is a great country, strong, populous, not to be underestimated, and now see the Han Dynasty's emissaries solemn and dignified, quite a great country of wind, and indeed the name is not false, and nodded his head and said: "That's right, please live in my country for a few days, joint resistance to Xiongnu, allow two days and then specific discussions on it. "
So Ban Chao and the others stayed. In the first few days, the king of Shanshan treated them quite warmly, but not long after, Ban Chao realized that the king was getting cold to them, not only often find excuses to avoid seeing them, even if it is not easy to see them, but also never mention the joint resistance to the Xiongnu.
Ban Chao had an ominous premonition, he called the people of the mission to analyze and said, "The king of Shanshan is getting more and more unfriendly to us, I guess the Xiong Nu also sent someone to lobby him, we must go to explore a little bit, and get to the bottom of the matter." At night, Ban Chao sent someone to sneak into the palace, and sure enough, he found that the king was drinking and laughing with the Xiongnu's emissaries.
Looking very chummy, he returned immediately to report the news to Ban Chao. Over the next few days, Ban Chao managed to find out from the people who received them that the Xiong Nu had not only sent an envoy, but also more than 100 heavily armed attendants and guards. Immediately realizing that the situation had developed into a very serious one, he summoned the envoys at once to study the countermeasures.
Ban Chao said to everyone: "Xiong Nu has indeed sent an envoy to persuade the king of Shanshan, now we are in extreme danger, if we don't take effective measures, when the king of Shanshan is persuaded, we will become the victims of his alliance with Xiong Nu. At that time, it's a small matter that we can't protect ourselves, and the mission entrusted to us by the state will not be accomplished. What does everyone say to do?"
Everyone agreed in unison, "We obey your order!" Ban Chao slammed the table and decisively he said, "How can we get a tiger's son without entering the tiger's den? Now we can only fulfill our mission if we are determined to destroy the Xiong Nu!" That night, Ban Chao led his men to rush into the camp where the Xiongnu were stationed, and while they were not on guard, he won the battle with fewer men and finally wiped out all of the more than 100 Xiongnu.
8. The Eagle and the Fox
The Mountain Eagle and the Fox became close friends with each other, and in order to strengthen their friendship with each other, they decided to live together. So the eagle flew above a tall tree and built a nest to incubate its offspring, while the fox went into the middle of the bushes under the tree to have children.
One day, when the fox was out foraging for food, and the hawk happened to break off his meal, he flew into the bushes, snatched up the young fox, and feasted with his chicks. When the fox returned, he knew that it was the eagle who had done this, and he grieved for the death of his children, and what grieved him most was that he could not avenge himself for a moment, for he was a beast of prey, and could only run on the ground, and could not go in pursuit of a bird that could fly.
So he had to stand far away and curse his enemy, the only thing the weak in power could do. Soon the eagle was severely punished for his treacherous crimes. Once, when some men were killing a sheep in the field to sacrifice it to the gods, the eagle flew down, grabbed the lamb with fire from the altar, and took it back to his nest.
Then a fierce wind blew, and immediately the tiny dry branches of the nest burst into violent flames. The feathery chicks were burned to death and fell from the tree. The fox then ran over to the eagles and ate all those young ones before their eyes.
This story shows that God will punish the backstabber, even if the victim is too weak to retaliate against him.
9. The Fox and the Goat Who Fell into a Well
A fox fell into a well, and no matter how hard he struggled, he couldn't climb up, so he stayed there. The male goat, feeling thirsty, came to the well and saw the fox at the bottom, so he asked him if the water was good. The fox felt that the opportunity had come, and he was so happy that he immediately calmed down and praised the well for its good water.
Said the water is the world's first spring, sweet and refreshing, and advised the goat quickly down, and he drank. A heart only want to drink water believe that the goat, they do not think about jumping down, when he gulped and drank, it had to be with the fox **** business on the way to the well. The fox was prepared for this, and he said cunningly, "I do have a way.
You use your forefeet to pick up the wall of the well, and then straighten your horns, and I will jump up the well from your back, and then pull you up, and we will both be saved. "The male goat agreed to his proposal, and the fox stepped on his hind feet, jumped on his back, and then jumped out of the well with another hard jump from his horns. When the fox went up, he prepared to flee alone. The male goat accused the fox of not keeping his word.
The fox turned back to the male goat and said, "Hey friend, if your mind was as perfect as your whiskers, you wouldn't have jumped blindly without seeing the exit. "This story shows that a wise man should think through the outcome of something beforehand and then do it.
10, Small Wisdom and Great Wisdom
The fox cheated the crow of a piece of meat, and was seen by the elephant, the fox was proud of himself and said to the elephant, "See? The fox was so proud of himself that he said to the elephant, "Did you see how clever I was?" "I have seen it all, you are very smart." "Do you want me to teach you a few tricks? It's too hard for you to find wild fruits to eat." "That's not necessary," said the elephant, "I have my own principles of survival."
A few days later, the elephant saw the fox play another trick on the tiger king and all the animals. "You saw it again!" said the fox, "but it's all right, you can prove that I am indeed clever." "Yes, I can prove that you are indeed clever." Later, the fox went to steal a chicken and was caught and put in a metal cage, something the elephant also saw.
"I've made you laugh!" The fox said dejectedly, "Now do you still recognize me as smart?" "I still admit you're smart. However, you are only smart in a small way, but lack great wisdom!" "What do you mean?"
"I mean, honesty, not treacherous, not slippery, the surface does not seem to have anything to do with cleverness, in fact, contains the great wisdom of life; rely on playing small cleverness to deceive, may be successful in the moment, but sooner or later to suffer!"
