Brief introduction of Xizhoubai ancient building complex

Xizhou Town is a military town in Nanzhao in history, with a relatively developed culture, and has exported many celebrities from all walks of life to the whole country. In the past, Xizhou was relatively developed in industry and commerce and was once one of the commercial centers in Yunnan.

Xizhoubai Ancient Architecture Complex is located at the foot of Wutai Peak in Cangshan, Dali City, western Yunnan Province, and on the east side of Yunnan-Tibet Highway. There were 65,438+0,065,438+0 courtyards in the Ming, Qing and Republic of China, and there were about 65,438+0,500 courtyards of Bai traditional houses in modern times. The layout of each hospital has always been one party, the general two parties, two-way three parties, three parties and one wall, four into five patios, five longevity, six in one spring, walking around the corner and so on. The framework of the building is in the form of five-column hanging beam landing, and the eaves of the inner courtyard go out of the building, hanging or hanging upside down. Architectural modeling: the main room is high, the wing is low, and the facade is equipped with walls. The wall is mostly three drops of water, the roof of the temple wall and a bucket. There are many words on the wall that represent family status and family style. Zhaobi, gate, veranda, doors and windows are the key points of residential building decoration.

As early as the coexistence of Liu Zhao and Herman, Xizhou was the settlement of Bai people. Sui dynasty was called "historical city", and Nanzhao and Dali kingdom were called "Dali city" in Tang and Song dynasties. At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, the local national economy developed rapidly, and there were more major architectural remains than those built at this time. During the Republic of China, there were some buildings, such as Zhaojiayuan and Yan Jiayuan built in 1920 and Yangjiayuan and Dongjiayuan built in 1948. Xizhou Bai folk houses have high scientific and artistic values such as ethnology and architecture.

On June 25th, 20001year, as an ancient building in Ming and Qing dynasties, the Western Zhou White Ancient Building Complex was approved by the State Council to be included in the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
