Literary evaluation of drum ci

Drum lyrics are mainly popular in the north, with drums and three strings. Say it in prose and sing it in verse. Its lyrics are usually seven words and ten words, and ten words are completely different from the rhythm of playing the third, fourth and third words, and adopt the form of three, three and four. This is a complete set of big books about talking and singing, and the length is relatively large. Later, there was a short opening similar to Tanci, called "Drum Book" or "Drum", which has been passed down to this day.

The content of drum lyrics is richer than that of tanci, or it is a heroic legend of Jin Goma Iron, such as Hu Jiajiang; Or write a case-solving story, such as Bao Gongan; Or write about love and marriage, such as Butterfly Cup; There are even funny and satirical teasing works, which are more based on historical romance and the adaptation of previous literary masterpieces. The former includes The Three Kingdoms of Plum Blossom, while the latter includes The West Chamber and A Dream of Red Mansions. The earliest extant drum ci is The Flower Thorn of the King of Tang and Qin (also known as The Biography of the King of Tang and Qin) published during the Apocalypse of Ming Dynasty. All saints handed down from generation to generation, 8 volumes, 64 times. It was a speech made by Emperor Taizong of Li Shimin during his expedition to the east and the west, which initiated the inheritance of the Tang Dynasty, but it was not marked with "drum words". At the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, Jia Fu's Gu Pi San Ci was the first literary work named after Gu Ci. However, he sang without saying anything, without moving the story. But through the ups and downs of the past dynasties to praise and criticize ancient and modern figures, boldly expose and satirize the ugliness of the rulers fighting for power and gain and the cruelty of feudal autocracy, in order to vent their grievances. The works are exquisitely tailored, sharp in brushwork and humorous in language, which has become the best product after the elegant drums.
