What kind of leather is saddle leather
The leather is recycled leather.
Saddle leather is usually preferably sourced from cowhide, particularly from the back of the cow, which is a part of the leather where the fibers are tight and resilient, suitable for withstanding prolonged friction and stretching, making it ideal for saddle making.
During the production process, saddle leather is carefully tanned. Traditional saddle leather may be chrome tanned or vegetable tanned to ensure good abrasion, water and weather resistance. High-grade saddle leather may also undergo a special oil-dyeing process, which gives the surface a glossy finish and allows for a beautiful natural aging effect over time.
